This might seem nerdy but I am guess I am just asking to calm my nerves. Can you be pregnant and still have a full fledged period ?? I never thought anything of it until out of the blue my Mom asked me if I was pregnant because of the way I had been eating and 2 days last week I woke up in the middle of the night having to throw up ??? weird But I just had my period 2 weeks ago and it was normal. Then today, not to be gross, but I notice a thick mucus when I wiped and remember having that when I was prego !! So now I am kinda freaking out !!! What do you ladies think ???

From my understanding, no, you can't be pregnant and get your period. But you can be pregnant and experience some bleeding and first trimester bleeding can actually be pretty common, but it's not your period. TBH, about 2 weeks after your period is generally when you ovulate (correct me if I'm wrong here) and ovulation is usually accompanied by an increase in CM. It doesn't sound like you are to me, but when in doubt I usually say "test".
