I just wanted to indroduce myself. I'm Sue & I'm 25 and from the Chicago area. A long long time ago I was on the "Due in March 2003" message board. 5 years flies by & I can't believe its almost time for kindergarten.

Right now I am just looking for a message board to post on because sometimes I just like to have people to talk to when everyone else is busy =) My job that I've had for 5 years is shaky because of the economy. I work in real estate (I'm an IT person though) and we've already been through two rounds of layoffs. I have an adjustable rate mortgage and it is set to adjust in November *sigh*. Everyone seems to be able to refi into FHA loans but me!! I live in a condo building that is mostly rentals, all owned by one guy, so its too "risky" for the Fha requirements.

So who knows. Basically I'm under a lot of stress and hope to find some nice mommies here

HI Sue!! I am Nicole. I am actually a real estate paralegal here in CT so I know exactly what you are talking about! If it wasnt for the fact that I do everything in my office, literally, I dont think I would have a job either with this market!

^Same!! I'm doing the IT, typing title commitments, helping in the commercial department, final policies, coordinating a new phone system, answering phone calls and on and on. I just hope I can keep this job for 4 more semesters =) I've been there almost since the company opened about 4 1/2 years ago. I'm just nervous that because its such a new company they may not have the money to ride out the time it takes for new orders to start coming in again. Our business is down about 75% since last year at this time.

I have been here for 6 years this month. The economy is just killing me. I usually get a yearly bonus every July and this year I probably won't get it until December due to the decrease in production. It sucks big time! I depend on the bonus with my DH getting laid off in August.
