Default Trying for a girl

Hi, my name is Bama, and my dh and I have an 20 month old son named Peyton. We are both desperately wanting a girl. Dh has a brother, and three nephews, and we have one son, so we are definitely going to have to try everything to sway the odds. I am planning on trying the 0+12 method, and taking supplements. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Good luck to you. We are also in the same boat. My FIL is one of boys, DH is one of 3 boys, my BIL has only 1 child and guess what it's a boy, and we have 2 boys. We are hoping for a girl this time around.

I am doing the same thing as you! I am not sure if you know this one or not but taking Sudafed pills 4 hrs prior to intercourse is suppose to help. It dries out your cm which is suppose to be a good thing on our part?? lol.

Has anyone ever used the clear blue fertility monitors?? It is expensive, but I am very irregular and wondered if anyone has had any luck with one?

Brysonsmommy--I have been using the fertility monitor, and it is awesome! I am irregular also, so it's great to see the monitor go from low to high to peak. Once I get the "high" reading, the begins! Fortunately, I got mine from my friend so I didn't have to shell out the money for it, but I have gone through 2 boxes of sticks. The first couple of months I wasn't too sure about it, I was getting crazy readings and no peaks, but I think it still had my friend's info in it's memory, so it needed to get used to me. I have gotten three peaks the last few months, and this cycle I ran out of sticks before I got a peak, so I went to the $store and bought some cheapie ov sticks to finish off the cycle. I hope it works so I won't have to buy another box!! I have heard you can buy them on e-bay used and cheap--just be prepared for it to take a couple of months to get used to you. I have always been concerned that since I am irregular I may not be ovulating, but with the monitor, I see that I really am!!

Good Luck!

Thanks for the info about the fertility monitor. I bought one on ebay for $75 and it is coming with instructions on how to clear out previous information. Does it tell you when you should test. I bought a box of 30 sticks on ebay for$33. I am not sure how long 30 sticks will last. We are going to start ttc in May, when should I begin testing?? It has been at least 2 months since my last period so I don't know if next time I get a period we should just go for it.
