Hi ladies! I haven't been here in a while, but I am finally off the pill. This is day 15 of my cyle this month and I haven't O'd yet, but dh and I dtd on cycle day 6 and stopped there, because we are not going to try to ttc until the end of summer. I am thinking ahead about getting pg though. I was wondering if I should get prenatal testing this time around, because dh has cystic fibrosis in the family. Can they test for this, and if so how do I go about getting it done? Will a doctor do it if I just request it to be done?
I had SF tested because my cousin has it. If you do not have it, then your children will not (both parents have to be a carrier), however there are a few false negatives. However, that isn't very common at all. I would call your OB and see if they will do it, if not, then I'm sure your PCP will.
