Icon11 New to trying for a girl

Hello, I am new here and would like to ttc for a girl in December. I have a 4 yr old ds and a 2 yr ds both concieved on the day of o. No thoughts as to gender pref. then , just wanted a baby. Still in the same boat for ttc #3. Really just crave a new baby in my arms and and new little person in the family. DH and I would love a girl and would love to experience all the things that go along with a girl since we have two sons. This would be our last attempt, I am 36, dh is 42 and we have had our share of mc (2 blighted ovums and a molor) so.... I feel as if I must put my all into this effort. The reason to start in Dec. is my recent mc in Aug. I am hoping the 4 month wait will give us time to get healthy and practice before we dive in again.
My question is this...What is your best advice that will encourage a girl?

Any and all help is appreciated
Thank you
Lauren

I am also trying for a girl. I found on webmd they have a good tracker that will give you advice on the shettles method. They will tell you good and bad days for BD. I am also taking cranberry suppliments at the end of af through ovulation to help. I know there is more out there but thats all I am doing. I cant make myself nuts.

tehre are things that DH can do like less caffine in his diet (especially right before bd), Missionary position..not sure of the rest.

I would read the infor at the top of this forum. It has some good stuff to help out.

Good luck!

Your son is beautiful! I love that kind of picture, when they are so intent and innocent! Usually before some boy mischief.

I did read over all the other info at the top and that gave me hope. Some of the ingredients of the herbal products frightened me. I am afraid to put anything in my body that could harm me or an unborn baby. I will stick to the cranberry, diet and timing methods. Just trying to decide between shettles and 0+12. (Seems like a lot of work) I know it would be worth it, but with two at home already, it might be hard to focus on all the charting.
Have you already started ttc for a girl or are you in the planning stage?

Thanks (about the picture of my son). Yes, that is one of his few peaceful moments. H eis usually a terror and making my hair grey at a very fast pace.

I dont quite understand the 0+ 12 method. Do you know what it is?

We are ttc'ing now and i am in the 2 week wait. I keep holding off testing because i really dont feel pregnant and i dont want to waste them.

Be careful with the cranberry suppliments. They can be dangerous if you have Kidney stones. I have them so i only take 1 or 2 suppliments a day and just for the week before O and up till O. It really did change the environment, so we will see if it helps.

I really dont want to go nuts over all this, I just want to do what i can. I understand you saying that you have kids and its hard enough. i only have one.

From what I understand, the o+12 method requires you to dtd 12 hours after you o. Many people seemed to have added details here and there as to hot showers(DH), jump & dump(you), environment, positioning, ect. It seems as if most did shettles on this site. I don't know, I'm trying to make a plan now so when dec. comes I won't be stressing about it then. Get all my craziness out now.
