Well, went to the Wal-Mart yesterday to get some more OPK's because I've been getting heavy CM for almost 4 days now and again this a.m., so I thought I'd test again to see if I had a surge. Sure enough, got the positive OPK....now what? Looks like BDing 5 days ahead instead of 2! I assume I'll ovulate tomorrow. I had crampy pains last night and I believe I ovulate after the O pain for me. I feel really guilty for not planning this with my DH and as a matter of fact we talked about the 3rd baby again last night...he just doesn't think he could go through with the newborn phase again and he loves that all 4 of us fit perfectly in his Jeep (that's a guy for ya!). Of course, I'd love to have a little baby again and nurse and feel the kicks.... I really don't want this part of my life to be over until the grand kids show up, ya know? Anyway, if I ovulated 5 days after BDing, is there a good chance of not conceiving? I really think my Kate was conceived about that many days after cause at the 6 week ultrasound (I had bleeding) I thought I was 7 weeks and I was closer to 6 weeks along. I could try again tomorrow and this would follow closely with the Nigerian study that indicated BDing 5 days before and 2 days after peak symptoms. It was very accurate at producing boys. Also, how accurate are the lunar phases? I wish I could look up which sign my girls were conceived in to compare. I'd be in Aries entering into Taurus (void course). Of course God is throwing me a curve ball! Maybe it's just meant to be a girl.

I think 5 days it's very possible that you COULD conceive, although it's not very likely. So maybe you'll be in the clear? I guess it depends on how determined your dh's sperm are. I know in my case, I don't think I would EVER be able to conceive with that big of a cut-off, since I really think my dh's swimmers are that mobile.

I am not sure what you are going for....boy or girl? 5 days isn't impossible....but it is girl territory for Shettles....and if you want a boy...BD on the DAY of O....with EWCM....Good luck...and hubby will love that baby. You know it.
