Hi,
Thought that it was about time that I introduced myself,

as I have been lurking around for a little while! [I am still trying to learn all the abbreviations, so please excuse me!]
My name is Sara and I live in Brisbane, Australia. After the birth of our second son in 1994, DH and I decided that would be it... no more kids. Then late in 2003 we must of had a whoops and our 3rd son was born in July 2004.
We have now decided that we desperately want a daughter, like so many of you out there! We were planning to bite the bullet and do PGD, but it was banned in Australia this year. We even considered going overseas, but the cost and time away from home was just too much!
This is what I am doing, if anyone has any thoughts/advice it would be most welcome:
- Following girl diet quite stricly.
[I checked some of my old diet diaries from about 18 months ago, and found that I used to consume an average of 4000mg of sodium and 4500 potassium each day, so its no wonder I have boys]
- Become Vegetarian
I read that the percentage of Vegertarians that have girls is high. - Apparantly scientists at Nottingham University found that women who don’t eat meat or fish give birth to more girls, 100 girls for every 81 boys!
- Switched to Decaf
I just cant give up my coffee habit, so I removed the caffeine instead, I think that this should be OK??
- Taking Supplements
calcium | Magnesium | Cranberry | Black Cohosh | Vitex | Folic Acid
- Plan to use a Vinegar douche.
- TIMING
We are going to use the Shettles method of timing as personally I think it makes a lot of sense. I think that we will try at 4 days for the first month and if that doesnt work try 4 days.
I even checked the Chinese Conception Chart and using my lunar age all of my previous boys were predicted correctly.... So maybe I should wait until August as that is supposed to be girl month for me!
I have done so much research on this, I thought that if we try all of this and still end up with a boy then it was meant to be!
Cheers
Sara
