Hi ladies~
I finally got a +OPK on Tuesday (this is my first month using them) and was a little afraid of DTD because I wanted to do a true "boy" attempt. I talked with DH and we decided that we'd rather have a baby and not risk missing this month waiting around for the darker line. So we went for it and I'm so glad. I tested twice Wednesday and there wasn't a line at all! Has anyone ever heard of just one positive day and then nothing? It just happened to be the perfect boy attempt afterall!! Now I just need a BFP! I only wish that my OPKs didn't come with 5 free HPTs!! I know I'm going to test way too early!! Thanks for all of your advice!! Babydust to all of you!
Hey Charla, it's a good thing you went with your instinct, otherwise you'd have to wait another month. Sorry, I can't help you with the opk question, I know nothing about those. But Im sure that when we try for that I'll be using them. How do they work anyways? Do they tell you what days you ovulate or do you just test and if theres a line that means your ovulating? I know how those 2ww can seem like a life time and to have pregnancy tests hanging around can be tempting. Just don't think about it and those 2ww will fly by, I know easier said then done. Anyhow here's a bunch of . I've got plenty so I'll pass some on to you and hope you get that and it'a a .
Hi Angela!
I ordered the OPKs from Tests for Less online. It tells you which day to start testing according to the length of your cycle. No line or a line lighter than the control line is negative. The second line has to be as dark as or darker than the control and you ovulate 12-36 hours after that. For a girl attempt, I know that you stop BDing a few days before ovulation. Some of the other ladies can help you out, but it takes a few cycles to figure yourself out (which I didn't and that's why I'm clueless!!) Good Luck!!
I hope your 2ww goes quickly!!! And please take all of my I have plenty of it and I don't want it anymore!! Good luck to you.It sounds like a perfect boy attempt!
Yes, it is most common to only have one day of a +OPK, some women do have two days, but it's not as common. Depends on when you test during your surge!
I hope this is it for you and you get your DS (Boys are GREAT)!
