It's been a long time!!!

The kids, our 2 dogs and I have been in our new appartment for a month now. I have been working at my new job "Pediatric dental office" for about a month now too. I love my appartment and job. The kids seem to be doing well. I am having a hard time being a single mom of 3 and working for the first time in 7 years. And then trying to adjust my time equally.

The boys are getting big and will be turning FOUR on the 21st. I am going to have a pool party for them at the appartment pool. They started day care on the 1st and Kyle has already gotten strep throat and I had to miss 2 days of work, UGH. They seem to like the daycare. They will go to preschool there next year too.

Justin is as sweet as ever and loves his mommy. Kyle loves his mommy but he is a wild child. He makes evil sounds and acts out a lot for attention. He likes when people laugh at him. I am still having trouble with Kyle wetting the bed every night so he is wearing pull ups at night time. The thing is he use to not do this, so I'm guessing it's because of the divorce. Justin on the other hand stopped wetting the bed when we divorced. Although when he goes to his dads he wets the bed.

I don't have any trips planned this summer. I can't really afford to take time off work, nor have the money to go anywhere. I miss hanging out online with you all. It's really hard to get online these days. I am glad the post was started, I enjoyed catching up. Jeannel, I'm glad to see Scamp is doing well. I need a new picture of that cuttie! Email me...

It's great to see so many of you on here and coming outof lurkdom (rather like myself )

Well, i have been sooooooooooooooo busy lately and only really get to have a quick lurk every other day in here just to keep tabs on everyone....i'm sorry...BAD HOSTESS !!

Anyway, we have been busy decorating our Joe's new bedroom and getting the 4 girls into their new rooms (not decorated yet though). It's been mad as we've had a few nights of bed swapping and not much sleeping ! Everyone is in and settled now though. I decided NOT to change the babies cribs into beds and they have transitioned really well into their new room. I'll keep them in their cribs for as long as possible i think... they sleep really well still in them (from 5pm - 7.30am) so why change things and take the risk ?

I have also put the babie's names on the enrollment list for Nursery. They will start 12 months come September and attend the nursery that is joined to the school that my other kids go to. They will do 5 afternoons from 1pm - 3.30pm. WHAT am i going to do with myself then ? My babies are growing up so fast...it's so sad yet so exciting watching them grow and develop into themselves. I love watching them play together. They have really started roll playing recently, loving on their baby dolls and making a 'cuppa tea' with their teasets. They are loving arts and crafts too at the minute and have started to draw circles and attempting faces.

Also, I am going away for 4 days on the 13th June !!! My best friens of 32 years (we where born a month apart and grew up 3 doors away from each other all of our lives, went to the same schools in the same classes all the way through and now live in the same street with our families. She has 4 girls, 2 of which are my Godchildren) We are flyin down to the South coast and staying in a mobile home on a holiday park for a LOOOOOONG weekend ON OUR OWN !!!!! NO MEN, NO KIDS !!!
I am sooo excited ! I have never spenty a night away from my kids apart from when i was having babies. Just to chill and relax with no one shouting Mum, Cath ... It's going to be sheer HEAVEN !

I've also been on a diet and attending a diet and fitness class forthe past couple of months. So far i've lost 22 pounds and feel wonderful, i've gone from a size 18 and at the moment am inbetween a 14 - 16. I binged a little this week though as it was my birthday, had drinks, chocloates, a burger but i told myself i was having a week off and i feel ok with it. I'll get straight back to it on Thursday after i've larned of the Damage

So that's about it from me. Oh yeah... my Big twins' birthday's are coming up soon and i'm hosting them a Pamper Party. 22 girls aged between 6 and 9 will be coming to get hair, makeup and nails done ! My 2 sisters are coming to help me and i've bought each kid a lovely necklace with a pink loveheart pendant on it and hair accessories. Sooooo can't wait for that.

Oh, and we are going on a family vaca on August 2nd. We are driving down to the East coast to a BIG holiday site called Thorpe parke for a week. The kids love it there.

Anyway, it's good to be back and chatting again

Oh Boy, I have been meaning to post on this thread for a while now but if it's not one thing it's another. I lurk every now and then but pretty much that is it. I usually don't get the time. Both my kids are NON-SLEEPERS

Laila and Aidan are a little over 11mths now and still have not slept through the night. Other than that they are doing great crawling all over the house and we even had to get gates since they were up three stairs before I noticed them. I think they might walk soon as they are standing stronger on their own every day. They sometimes take one or two naps a day for about 30mins but that is it. Laila will usually start off the night in her crib but end up in our bed. I was determined to try CIO but I couldn't do it as I don't have the heart so I run to them everytime they cry. (Bad mommy, I know) They both sleep in the same room still but are in their own cribs so I am afraid they will wake the other if they cry. Sometimes at nights they wake every hour and so I am like a zombie.
We are going to the Caribbean (Trinidad & Tobago) on June 14th for two weeks, that's where I am originally from so I am looking forward to my brothers and sister seeing the babies, I have two brothers and one sister of which I am the last and none of them have any kids so these are going to be so spoiled. My sis have seen them but my brothers have not seen them yet so I am excited, besides I will have someone to look after them so i can get some sleep
They are very loving babies, constantly wanting to hug and kiss me. They hold my face with both hands and come at me with open mouth. I Love it! They are also mimicing what we do. It's too funny. Anyway I gotta go they are tearing up a bunch of papers but I will post more later.

Kamanie - I MISS those open mouth kisses!! I had forgotten about those!!!!! HOw fun to go and visit your family. That's so cool! I'd love to see pics from there!!!

Those babies are 11 months and they are only taking 2 30 minute naps and sometimes waking every hour in the night? Honey, do they have YOU trained or what?! You've got to put your foot down girl!!!!! I know the CIO sucks. My g/f has a 9 month old son and she's having the hardest time with it too. You've got to remember that going in to them when they're crying makes YOU feel better but it does nothing to help THEM! It will do you ALL a service by sleep training them because right now they aren't getting enough sleep - they should be getting 2-3 naps a day which are at LEAST 45 mintes long and the waking in the night is not good for them either! (or you!) Sorry, I don't mean to get on you but I see what my g/f is going through and it's basically hell. And it's silly because it's something you both can set straight and you and your kids (and probably spouse) would be so much happier and healthier!!!!! Have you checked out the book Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child? THere are other alternatives he shows to CIO but you should do something now before they get older and it gets WAYYYYY harder.
My parents used to go in to me everytime I cried when I was little and then I slept with them for years and to this day I can NOT self soothe! I have to read at night to relax myself to fall asleep and I hate it!!
Ok - end little rant. I wish you lots of luck and sleep honey!!!! If you need any advice or help I know most of us have sleep trained our kids and would love to help you in any way we can! Trust me - it's so worth it and you'll actually have energy again!

I really want to get active here, things have been hectic. New baby, new pregnancy, new home. I do my best though. So, let's see:

1. The twins are getting closer than ever to their 3rd birthday. Yeah, it's not until July, but is it just me or does it seem like it's just right around the corner? I want to throw a big birthday party for them, but we'll see how that goes. I have gotten a little energy back, but I don't think it's enough for that kind of an event.

2. I'm 24 weeks pregnant now with our third baby boy. It's just crazy. I've been going through a lot this pregnancy with HG again, and then I got pneumonia and was in the hospital for a while. I'm getting more and more nervous with each day. We've been through the 2 baby stage before and made it out by the skin of our teeth. Now we'll be going through it again with the difference of a few months between them and it's daunting.

3. Speaking of the other baby, Karsten is 6 months old as of this weekend. It seem like time has absolutely been flying by. He's getting to be such a big boy and it's scaring the hell out of me too. And now he's officially on solids and sporting a few good looking little teeth!

4. DH is finally moving out to California and we have an offer on a house in, so hopefully we'll get to get settled pretty soon and at least before the baby comes. I need to get out of my mother's house before I loose my sanity. This long distance relationship with DH has not been easy on us, and I just wish he was out here already.

I know those open mouth kisses are awesome, since these are my IVF miracles I think it makes all those injections so worth it. I will post pics when I get back, we already got a bunch of cards for our cameras as we intend to get tons of pics.

Please, Please Please, I would love help with the sleeping. I feel like they need me and when I don't go in I get to thinking that I am abandoning them, DH does not agree with me but lets me do what I want to make me feel better. It is getting harder tho and I was hoping they would be sleeping through the night by now. I will get that book.
I am going to fix supper now but I will post about the sleep problem and see what everyone has to say. I know I am so wrong to do it but I feel so terrible when they cry I guess I am just going to have to suck it up.

Thanks a million Micki! You are awesome.
