For the Pitmans...
The kids graduate on May 30th WAAAAA I am going to cry seeing as how I cried just reading it in the May newsletter. We have a kindergarten meeting on the 28th of this month, they start kindergarten on July 28th. WAAAA They really LOVE school so I am happy about that
Emma has her 1st loose tooth.
Ryan is just a little boy, he's getting crazier and crazier everyday!
I start a new job at a Hospital on Monday May 5th. That will be different but a great experience none the less.
Rob is on the look out for a new job, since the economy has sucked he was laid off about 3 months ago.
Rob and I will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary on June 1st, and the kids will turn 5 on June 29th, so I am crunching my brain on what we are going to do for their birthday?!?!?!?!
Thats about it for me, Here are some photos for you to enjoy

Re: Updates!!!!!!
Hi!! Well, the girls are 6 months and both have 1 tooth popping out. No real biting yet. And the teething so far has not been too bad. They are starting to sit for brief moments unassisted still quite wobbly. They are sleeping through the night. They are actually great sleepers and still share a crib no divider or anything.
We are in the process of moving. We are waiting for our house to sell in Austin. Till then we are going to rent something in Tampa.

Re: Updates!!!!!!
Laura - OMGOSH!!! Look how cute they are! I the pic of Emma kissing Ryan!! Sounds like you guys have a busy couple months ahead of you. I hope you like your job and I REALLY hope your DH is able to find something soon. That sucks for him. And don't worry - I know I'll be bawling like a baby when my girls get ready to go to Kindergarten!
Patty - I am AMAZED that they are still sharing a crib! That's so special!!! I hope you guys sell your house quickly.

Re: Updates!!!!!!
This is a great post Micki! I love reading how everyone is doing!
We are planning a weekend trip to the beach this coming weekend. This will be the first time that the boys have ever seen the ocean, so I am excited to see their reaction. We have a camping trip planned this summer and a get away trip to a cabin in Boone, NC planned in early fall. My DH and I will be celebrating our 7th anniversary ths year. The boys turned two in April and are ALWAYS on the go! They climb and jump on everything. My DH just recently fenced in our back yard which is such a blessing because the boys would prefer to be outside than anywhere else, so it makes it SO much easier to take them outside by myself. That is about it for us!

Re: Updates!!!!!!
We just moved last weekend. The four of us were cramped in a 2 bedroom, but now we have a 3 bedroom and its WONDERFUL! I got the twins bunkbeds (karsen is on the bottom)!
The twins are loving Tball, but I cant stand their coach...but that is whole different thread.
Karsen is going to repeat Kindergarden next year and I'm still ify about Sinclair she is doing perfectly fine and will do ok in 1st grade, but with them being young Kindergardener's and will Karsen repeating I really want to keep them both behind, but Im getting a ton of resistance from the teachers. I really dont know what to do, but I dont want to regreat my decision in 5 years...ya know?
Soloman has his last high school baseball game of the year on Wednesday. He had a great year in both baseball and basketball. In fact he was MVP of his basketball team. Starting Saturday he will be playing with another baseball team and my schedule will be INSANE on the weekends (i wont bore you with the details).
School will be out for everyone on 6/12. K & S will be in daycare all summer. Soloman will be going to baseball & basketball practice all summer & if he doesnt get is Bio grade up summer school will be in his future. Soloman has been with the same girl for 19+ months and with him being home....I worried they will be at my house in their free time. He is NOT allowed to bring he over without adult supervision...but since when does that stop teenagers? So I will have my parents be doing frequent drive bys checking on him. He will be 15 in June so he is definitely at the age where this is a huge concern.
Thats about it for now....

Re: Updates!!!!!!
Lisa - Happy Anniversary!! Sounds like some fun vacationing you have planned. You'll have to post pics of the boys at the beach for their first time!
Sarah - You DEFINITELY should have your parents doing checks. The kids these days are hormone crazy!! What a situation with K staying back in Kindergarten. I think if it were me then I'd hold S back too - just to keep them together. Have you asked Sinclair what she wants to do?

Re: Updates!!!!!!
Micki,
Karsen is in special ed Kindergarten this year. He has made huge strides this year and will be repeating Kindergarten in a mainstream K class. He still has some issues and will still have speech and some pull our RSP, but I think he will really benefit from being with "normal" kids.
Sinclair DOES NOT want to repeat kindergarten. Even though they are twins they are no more alike then any other bro and sis. She could careless if they are in the same grade and same goes for Karsen. In fact last week Karsen was sick for 2 days and she was disappointed when he came back on Friday. She loves him and all, but its not like same sex twins. She has her own friends and wants to move on to 1st grade with them.
Im so torn on this.....

Re: Updates!!!!!!
Sarah - Aha! Very different than what I was thinking. Maybe it would be a good thing to let her go ahead. Hopefully some of the other b/g twin moms will have some good advice for you. Maybe you should post a separate thread.

Re: Updates!!!!!!
So I'm running behind on this thread. Ian & Jeffrey are now 13 months and WAY too active. Ian has been walking since he was 11 months and is an expert now. Jeffrey is just starting to walk and thinks it's so funny. He walks on his toes though so balance is iffy.
My DH is in the naval reserves and is being deployed to Afganistan at the end of June. So no plans for the summer except to visit all of the family one by one to keep my sanity while we are alone.
We want to get the boys out and do some 'firsts' be for DH leaves. Like the zoo, and maybe the beach. Galveston is only a few hours from here, not very pretty but it will do for now.
And that's about it for now!

Re: Updates!!!!!!
Oh ya .... one more thing. Last week was DH and my 11th anniversary. So we left the boys with the in-laws OVERNIGHT, a first for us. We had a nice expensive dinner and too much to drink. Course we slept bad and came home to tired fussy babies, but it was nice to get out.

Laurel - we haven't gone away overnight anywhere so I'm so jealous!! I'm so sorry though that you DH has to leave. Do you know how long he'll be gone for?
I love that you guys are going to do a bunch of "firsts" before he goes. Make sure you show us pics!!

Re: Updates!!!!!!
Hey there Micki! I am finally getting around to posting!
the boys are doing great - we have finally had a string of many weeks (dare I say a month?) without sickness! let's hope our lucky streak stays!
we have a very busy year! The boys have a new cousin who was born in April...we are going on a family vacation with DH's family to visit his sister next week...in early july, the boys turn 2! (OMG!!!) in late July, we go on a cruise with all of my family to celebrate my parents 40th anniversary...in August - big party for my Nana who turns 95....and in October, my sister is getting married!....and that will take us right into the holidays!
so - lots of activities planned - and the boys LOVE being around other family members...
Other than that - we are trying to settle into a new groove of some sort...but things feel pretty calm! (hey - all you new twin mom's - hear that? you will eventually feel... CALM! if only for a few minutes!)
they boys are 22mos - and this is such a fun age! Daniel loves to sing - they both love to dance - and Thomas is really good at throwing his voice to try to make his animals & toys talk (in the funny voices that mommy and daddy do)...so they just make me laugh every day...and I only want to pull my hair out every other day!
we are not really pushing the potty yet - Thomas likes to sit on it - make pretend 'pee-pee' noises, and give me a hi-five! Daniel will tell that he is going 'pee pee', and will go into the bathroom, but does not like to sit on the toilet! so - we just look at it, while he pees in his diaper!
so glad to hear what is going on with everyone!

Re: Updates!!!!!!
I've been stalling on posting our update because I wanted to include our moving (or not) status. We have been planning on a relocation to CO for the last 6 months or so. But, as of today, we're staying here in TX!!! DH is taking a new job (received the formal offer today) and we're released from limbo, finally. We were just about to put our house on the market, too. We're still planning to sell, but think we'll wait until next spring.
The girls are doing great. They started a Tues./Thurs. Mom's Day Out program at the beginning of April. They really love it and think they're such big shots going to "school". I am still giddy about having 2 half days to myself. Some days I just come home to sit and read a book in my quiet, empty house They will stay in MDO through the summer, too.
We had a big 'ole birthday bash to celebrate turning 2. I'll post a link to our blog with the pictures on the private board. Ruby is now a whopping 21.5lbs and 32 inches. Mary Elizabeth is 24.5 lbs and 33 inches. They know their alphabet and can count to 10. Ruby can actually identify 100% of the letters and toddles around with various alphabet magnets in hand all day long. Mary Elizabeth correctly identifies about 50% of the letters and all of the numbers. She loves to run and jump and is obsessed with books. Ruby is still working on a fast walk (was really late to walk) and is obsessed with cars (and the letters on their license plates ). They are really so much fun to hang out with if you discount the shrieking when they get frustrated or don't get their way. I don't think the 2's are going to be too horribly harsh, but I am dreading the 3's already.
No plans for the summer except small weekend trips. DH and I are looking forward to taking the girls camping for the 1st time. And depending on consistent access to a pool, I might get them into swim lessons.
That's about it for us.
P.S. We're not moving!

Re: Updates!!!!!!
Helen - I know what you mean with the sickies!! It totally sucks because one gets it and you know the other one is next.
That is cracking me up that he looks at the potty while peeing in his diaper! I can't wait to hear how the boys do on the cruise. (I assume you're taking them) My g/f wants us to go with her family next yearish but I'm a little tentative.
Recia!! - I was hoping some of you veterans would come out of hiding!! Last I heard you were putting them in speech therapy so I'm thrilled to hear they are doing well!! Are you planning on keeping them in the same schools they are in currently or is your hope to move Angelo with the bigger boys? Those boys of yours are so handsome!!
Christel - congrats on not moving although Cinn will probably be sad!! What a load that takes off your shoulders!!! I can't believe Ruby knows ALL her letters! We are working on A & B and just threw in C which messed everything up!! LOL What's your trick? I think mommy needs to get cracking so we can keep up with the rowdy sisters!! I'll have to check your post on the p/b when I get a bit more time. I don't want to be rushed looking at those cuties!!

Re: Updates!!!!!!
It's been awhile since I've been able to post. Life has just been super busy.
Let's see where to start, work has been ultra crazy and not to mention trying to get 3 kids up, dressed and out the door in the morning is a challenge every day. DH has it so easy since he leaves so early in the morning. I'm late to work every day, even the days I work from home. It's a marathon every night at my house trying to get everything done. I wish someone would have warned me about the amount of laundry I would have been doing before the twins were born. We have a bit more since Mady has reflux and we have to change her clothes about 3 times a day. I have piles of clean clothes that never seem to get folded and put away.
The twins are 5 months old. I can't believe it, it has gone by really fast. Quick story from daycare - their caregiver had them laying feet to feet and they both wiggled their way around until they were laying head to head and they just started babbling to eachother. They're constantly doing little things like that. They'll catch eachothers eye and then the "talking" begins. They're still not the best sleepers usually only wake up once a night - on occassion if they have upset tummies they're up more. So that's not too bad. Both Mady and Matt are complete drool monsters right now, I keep expecting to see a tooth pop in at any moment since they chew on everything, including eachother hands and arms.
Makayla has tap/ballet every Saturday and is practicing for her recital on June 1st. She is also graduating from Pre-K on June 7th. I can't believe my little girl is going to Kindergarten in the fall. This summer while her tap/balley class is on break she's going to take gymnastics and swimming. So the babies will have fun being carted around this summer too.
We're not planning any big vacations this summer, but DH is going to take Mak camping in the backyard this summer. So that's about all that's happening here.

Re: Updates!!!!!!
Angelo will be making his way up to the same school as his brothers. Him and Esequiel will be in separate classes half-day kindergarten. I was hoping they'd be in full day kindergarten but there's only 1 full day kindergarten teacher at their school. So,Esequiel will be placed in the morning and Angelo in the afternoon.

Re: Updates!!!!!!
I have not been a good poster at all but I will update you on my family!
Braden turned 4 years old in March. He went from 5 words at 3 years of age to non-stop talking now! It is amazing how far he has come from being born at 26 weeks. He will be in his 2nd year of pre-school next year. He goes to gymnastics and starts a min-sports class in a few weeks. I know he is going to love playing soccer when he is old enough. You can't play until you are 5 in our town.
Ella and Ava are 2.5 years old. I am having the hardest time in the world with potty training. They just are not ready. I am going to try again in a month or so. Ava is my crazy girl. She likes to copy all the big kids and the playground. She scares me when she climbs the monkey bars! She also talks non-stop!
Ella is totally daddy's girl and wants to help him with everything. She is currently obsessed with Mickey Mouse. We just got back from Disney World last week and she would get so excited that she was shaking when she saw Mickey! too cute!!
Southern Gal- Where do you live on the Gulf Coast? We drove to Mobile, AL after Disney to go see my 96 year old great aunt. I am from Mississippi! You said you also stayed at SOG! Isn't it awesome there? Is your DH in the Reserves or is he Active? My DH recently went form Active to Reserves.
