The lists over on EM are so extensive they're almost a little scary I printed them out and had about 20 pages of items to go through!

Lets start with what makes life easier for you (i.e. Must Haves)

-double stroller (get a used double snap n go to start with, then take your time finding the right double for age 6 months and beyond)
-Bumbo or Bebe Pods (you don't use 'em long, but they are a lifesaver while in use)
-Nursing Pillow (EZ2) and/or bottle proppers
-1 swing (with an option to get a 2nd), 2 bouncer chairs, 1 jumperoo, 1 exersaucer
- 2 Boppy pillows
- 6 waterproof mattress covers and crib sheets (triple layer - protector/sheet/protector/sheet... Then, you just rip away the soiled layer and don't have to re-sheet in the middle of the nap or night)

Start buying up diapers now. Save the receipts and tape them to the box to make exchanges easy.

You can make do with one crib for quite a while if you want (my girls shared until 6 months of age). And, obviously you'll need 2 car seats.

If you travel much with your kids, skip buying a pack n play and get the Kidco PeaPod Plus bed instead. It will last you until age 6! And takes up hardly any room in the car or on a plane.

That's all I can think of right now. HTH

Okay- we have 2 bouncies- very important, I think.

We started out with one swing. They both like it a lot. We borrowed a travel swing from a friend for the 2nd swing. I'd see if they both like it before you get 2.

We have two floor gyms that they use a lot. Both are actually borrowed. They like to share the one sometimes so you could definitely get by with one.

We started out with only 1 Boppy until they were 2 months old. I wish we had gotten the 2nd earlier. We bought the 2nd from a friend for $10. They sit in these a lot right now and we've using them in the gyms lately so they can grab the stuff more easily.

They started out in one crib. However, Harper got sick at 5 weeks with Rotavirus so we had to separate them. We haven't moved them back together because Harper sleeps in her car seat in her crib because she likes being all snuggled up in there. We did borrow the 2nd crib.

We haven't gotten to the exersaucer stage yet, but we have 2. I'm sure we'll use them. We have one jumperoo.

We only have 3 mattress covers and 4 sheets. We've actually only had to change a mattress cover once so we probably could have gotten by with one. The sheets are a must though!

Good luck!

Hi Cheryl! What a beautiful family you have!! What a blessing a set of boys will be for that estrogen run household!!

Christel's list is great! Great idea on the mattress covers - never did that!

I'm a total preparer and wanted 2 of EVERYTHING although once they got a bit older we realized that one baby liked things more than the other baby (ex: the jumperoo) so we really only needed one.

We used a pack n play next to the bed for the first few months and then had 2 cribs in their rooms. The swings were a LIFE SAVER for us so I would recommend getting 2 of those bad boys. We had 2 bouncers, 2 excersaucers, 1 breast friend that was given to us by a friend and 1 boppy. I agree that you should stock up on diapers as you get coupons. If I would have known how much formula mine were going to drink I would have started buying that really early with coupons too. But - you don't know if they'll need a special formula (if you're going that route) so that can be tricky.

I'd hit up a local twins club rummage sale and stock up! We did and got 2 of everything for really inexpensive!! You could also check Craigslist or your local paper. As you know, most of the things you spend a fortune on you only use up to a certain point so if you can get one second-hand then do it!!

I don't have any experience with placenta previa so I'm no help there.

Congrats on your boys and I hope you make it over here once they arrive!!!

Just wanted to chime in here. I worked on an L&D floor for 6 years and I'm thinking when I do go back to work I'm going to find a OB/GYN office to work in.
Anyway.... Placenta previa can move. It is possible to have a complete or partial previa. But both can shift back to the uterine wall during the pregnancy. A lot of time previa will cause bleeding and they will put you on bed rest. Talk to your Dr about when you should start pelvic rest(no sex) as this is one of the biggies to cause bleeding. If you make it to term with out bleeding you will HAVE to have a C-section. Not the biggest deal if you get 2 healthy babies in the end.
Most of the previous I have seen have been singleton births. So it is possible to have premature labor or dilating of you cervix that would cause more problems with the pregnancy.
Ask your Dr about the whole previa thing if he dosent know he should find out for you.
Hope this helps. And congrats on you 2 little blessings!
