Default pooooooooooooopy problem...! TMI for some!

Oh, they're gettin' so big. I haven't been around at all. Sorry guys. But we've encountered this new poopy problem. I NEED suggestions!

This is what happens....
The twins get put to bed (they share a room)
They take their blankets and stuffed animals and throw them on the floor
They take off their sheets and throw them on the floor
They take their CLOTHES off and throw them on the floor
They take their diapers off and throw them on the floor
They "GO".
They fall asleep for their nap.

I'm so tired of changing sheets and lysoling crib rails. Any suggestions? DH wants to tape their pants to their shirts!!!!!

I've been putting onsies OVER sweatpants on them. They look goofy, but can't figure out how to unbutton a onsie yet. Now they sleep on a bare matress - but at least have clothes on, and don't make a mess. (and keep in mind, i make sure blankets and sheets are completely on their beds EVERY time they go to sleep).

If i put shorts or a dress on Katy, she'll just sit with her little knees spread and dig in her diaper for gold. EUGH!

I'm so lost. My older girls never did this. These guys are watching each other, and copying each other, and i can't take iT!!!!!!!!!!

HELP!!!!

OMG! Sarah - I am laughing and cringing at the same time!...but I don't have too much advice for you! just sympathy!

We use 'ultimate crib sheets'...and when the boys used to pee/poop through their clothes, it is really easy to change - or just snap of the top sheet, and have a clean one right under.

The other thing that I have heard parents do is buy zip/snap-up pj's and put them on backwards...
what about letting them pick out some clothes/pj's that they would want to keep on?

oh man..good luck!

My girlfriend had this problem with her twins, too. She put a duct tape "belt" around the diaper at naptime and night, put them in snap-at-the-crotch onsies and then put pjs on top of that... backwards. That finally foiled the nocturnal dumpers (as she called them). See, she started w/ the diaper taping and they would still shimmy it off. Then, she added the onsie and they would pull the diaper off through the leg holes by stretching it way out. Finally she added the pajamas on top of everything and they couldn't figure all that out. Or were so tired after trying they gave up and went to sleep.

On a positive note... maybe you'll have early potty trainers Sounds like they hate them some poopy diapers.

I don't know what to tell you about the crib stuff and sheets, though. Except none of that is vital and it is a phase they'll move out of. Mary Elizabeth chunked all her stuff out of bed for the longest time and then just stopped one day. Now Ruby is doing it. Oh well.

And p.s. I laughed, too, when I read your post. Sorry.

Yep, that was going to be my suggestion. If you get the footed ones just cutt the feet off (of the pjs )

Is it illegal to duct tape the together? Because I would really like to do that with my two! this is my 4th weekned alone with them, after working a 60 hr work week! However, my nanny is taking them for the night... oh my god... I have no idea what I am going to do with myself.... but I am sure I will think of something....

I was going to suggest the backwards pj's as well.... here I was thinking I was all original and all... haha....

That was ME that posted about this a few months ago!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, yeah.....the exact events happened here and I am glad to say it is OVER!

Here is what we did:
Every naptime and bedtime they wore zip up pjs!! We used diaper pens to pin the top of the zipper to the pjs so they could not unzip them. We had to put 2 layers of tape around the diaper pen opening because Carrie would get it undone! This went on for months until one day I was too lazy to change them into pjs and they have been fine ever since.

My two would also take up the fitted sheet so they could tuck their bodies underneath it.
