Default First Time Mom Twin Vent

Sorry I need to vent and have a pitty party. We finally get Jordyn's reflux under control and she is eating so much better and Kayla now has thrush and is eating horribly. In addition, she has decided to start waking up at 2am because she wants to eat because she won't take a whole bottle during the day. Seriously, I have had a feeding issue with one or the other for 3 months now. Please, let my children eat and sleep well. I have had about all I can handle right now. Okay, I am done and feel much better. Thanks for the chance to vent.

Awww sorry to hear your having a hard time right now with one or the other. It's hard enough to deal with problems like this with one at a time, but when there's 2, it seems you never get a breather in between things. I don't have much advice, but wanted to let you know that this is the tough stage of twins and I promise you, it DOES and WILL get better as they get older. (((((big hugs))))) Hang in there!!!

Hang in there! And vent away! At least for me- it really helps!

We're having the same frustrations with naps. One day Jack will nap really well, but Harper won't. The following day the opposite will happen! And nobody seems to nap at the same time!

I so remember those days. It's so hard with 2 little babies at the same time. Vent away! Like Amy said, it does get better.

hang in there - there will be a time that you will wish for your babies back! Ok, I'll admit that for me, it isn't very often, but I do miss some of the things you are experiencing! Ride it out and there will be a day that you will take so much pride in having done what you are doing now - it's tough and you will get through it!

Hey, I hear ya! My two eat small amounts throughout the day instead of just a few bigger meals. They also eat quite a bit at night but we cosleep so we just dream feed them. I hope the feeding issues resolve for you soon.

I am wondering when it gets better! I thought by now I would feel like things are better (they are 5 1/2 months now), but what seems to happen is that the type of challenge changes. Little A fights sleep so I feel like I never get a break. Now that they are older, they also need more attention.

I'm so sorry. Sometimes it does seem like it's always one or the other.
You know what worked really well for my girls thrush when nothing else seemed to do the trick? Grapefruit seed extract. You get it at a health food store and you put some of the liquid on a wash cloth and rub it in their mouth a couple of times a day. You have to use it for like 10 days after it visually goes away because it's still there lingering and will come right back.

Beware - it tastes HORRIBLE and they'll probably hate it. The smaller the baby the easier it is to use on them. I tried it when the girls got older and they were gagging on it and it was really bad so we just used the anti-biotics but when they were little it worked wonders and didn't bother them.

I hope everything gets better soon and I'm glad to hear that the reflux is now under control!!!
