Default What is morning sickness like??

For those who've experienced it before...what is morning sickness like? I know some women have it only in the mornings and some in the afternoon/evening. I was VERY nauseated on the way home from work last night...it progressively got worse as the night went on. I was just feeling very drained! About 11:30pm I finally realized that it wasn't going away so I gave in and let myself puke (sorry TMI). I felt better afterwards....at least enough to go to sleep. But I am still feeling weak and a bit nauseated now too. Would morning sickness do that? I am kind of thinking I may have caught a bug cause my temp was 98.64 this morning and that is unusual for me to have a waking temp that high...maybe I had a low-grade fever overnight from the sickness? I am also still testing negative too.

DH was SOO sweet!! He came running to the bathroom...pulled my hair back...got me a cold washcloth and some water and rubbed my back while I was hugging the bowl. He kept whispering..."you're pregnant!! this is a good thing!!" I kind of felt bad for him too cause I really think it may just be something going around.

I had all day sickness with both kids. I didn't always throw up, but I felt icky all day long. It was kind of like being on a boat and have that sea sick woozy feeling. I had it last cycle but it was a chemical pregnancy. I hope that's a good sign. Your chart looks amazing.

It is hard to know . . . it could be morning sickness, or it could be a virus. When I've had stomach flu, my body hurts, too. I just feel queasy a lot - sometimes in the morning, and sometimes in the evening. I often get worse motion sickness now - driving in the car is terrible for me. I haven't been able to puke yet, but I wish I could! I think I would feel better.

1st pregnancy- nausea only in morning (nothing some saltine crackers wouldn't help)
2nd pregnancy- Nausea all day long for entire 1st trimester

Good news is THE DAY the second trimester started nausea was gone and I felt amazing.

Hope this means thaa BFP is coming

Stephany, this is a good sign! I don't think you really o'd when FF says you did. I think you are only 9dpo right now. M/S is not fun! I have a friend that gets it super bad all pregnancy. I feel sorry for her because she doesn't have that fun pregnancy that she deserves. When I would get nauseas it was usually in the evenings. It kinda got worse throughout the day and I got more yucky before or after dinner. Try to eat small meals regularly. That might help it. Or maybe just some crackers and sprite. Hope this is it for you! You have been on these boards for too long and deserve to see two lines soon!!!

Stephanie, hope that it is morning sickness and not a virus... then it would be worth it I don't remember if I've already posted this, but I still think that you ovulated on CD 31 which would mean that you're only 10 DPO and your temps are looking extra good this month!!! I'm hoping and praying that you get your BFP very soon!

I was curious about the morning sickness thing too.... thats probably what I fear most about getting pregnant. It would be totally worth it of course, but I just get nervous when I think about being sick all the time like some people are (My MIL said with both boys she was sick the whole 9 mths from morning to night; she actually lost weight in her pregnancies). I can proably count on one hand the number of times in my life I've really been sick and those times only last about a week at a time, not 9 mths!

With my DD my stomach would hurt at night. I never got sick - but I would just feel really full and uncomfortable. It usually happened around 9 or 10 and I would just go to bed and watch TV there for a little while.

Hope this is a good thing for you!

I always felt carsick, and it usually started in the evenings for me. Twice I have had that telltale carsick feeling before I even got my BFP so it is possible to feel it that early. Usually it starts a little later but for some it starts very early.

I hope this is it for you!!

Thanks ladies! I guess only time will tell If AF doesn't show her face today or tomorrow then I am going to change my O date to CD 31...if FF doesn't automatically change it for me.

I hope this is it for you! Unfortunately for your information search, but good for me, I never had morning sickness with DD. I honestly never felt pregnant. I only looked it! =)

First of all I really hope its MS!!!

With DD it started it about 6 weeks and last till I was 5 months along. I was nauseated day and night, but I would only get sick 1-3 times a day I would always get sick once right when I got out of bed. I just had the flu Monday and the difference is with the flu your body aches and you feel weak and extremly tired and it only lasted 24 hours.

I agree with all the ladies....esp Marybeth who had car sickness ( I never did b4 ) ms is horrible
(good sign but horrible since mine let to hg) I hope you do have a BFP!
one suggestion my re gave me was to kind of stay away from the toilet ( use a bucket by the
bedside) although that sounds gross...nothing is worse putting your head where other habits are kwim
those were his exact words....and keep fresh lemons around buy stock
smelling one can curb ms greatly.....

I think you may only be 10DPO and hence all the negative tests. I think it is a good sign. I was VERY morning sick with DS right away. I was heartburny/refluxy and queasy by 10 or 11 DPO and then full-on puke-tastic within a week. I had hypermeses and needed zofran and a few other meds throughout most of my pregnancy. I lost weight until 16 weeks and I was small to begin with. Some people's bodies just react more strongly to pregnancy hormones than others.

Thanks for the suggestions and for sharing your experiences with me. I am still feeling weak right now...my back and shoulders are aching but they always seems to ache. I don't have the body chills that I usually get if I am really sick.

If this continues then I'll defnitely keep a bucket by the bed I'll try the lemons suggestion too.

Man...ONLY got sick 1-3 times a day!! That seems like a lot to me!! HA! HA! It would be WELL-WORTH it though....I will try to remember that and NOT complain

Oh Stephany, somehow I think if you puked 3 times a day due to m/s you would love every minute of it

I so hope this is it for you!

IMO ms sucks hugely! It should up for me around 6-7 weeks with DS, and lasted pretty much the entire pregnancy. It got so bad I ended up on Diclectin, again for the whole pregnancy. The nausea lasted all day, and for about a week before I started the meds all I could do was lay on the couch and do nothing. I barely ate anything b/c I felt so awful. I could write a book on things you do and do not want to throw up...and yes, there are certain things that you would rather throw up than others...(sorry for TMI).

With my first pregnancy, I would throw up one time in the morning/each morning, and then feel fine the rest of the day..with the rest it was all day nausea..sometimes throwing up, but mostly a really bad taste in my mouth all day, and just not able to tolerate strong smells, and nothing sounded that good..except carbs!!

I totally agree!! I have already been thinking about that...I'll need to adjust my diet if this actually is morning sickness and puking becomes a daily occurrence!! I'm sorry you had it so bad! Maybe I'll get lucky
