What do you think is next??
Based on my LONG cycles and late O's with Clomid, a normal HSG, and great S/A, what do you think my OB will recommend next??? I have an appt on Monday to go over all of the results and see what she wants me to do next, but I'd like to hear what everyone thinks she will recommend. I'm guessing she will probably send me to an RE for further treatment (and then I get to fire her and start seeing the new one to hopefully deliver me when it's time!) but I don't know squat about injectibles, triggering, or IUIs and what order they normally go in.
In your best guess, what do you think is next for me and my ADD ovaries. Thanks in advance.

Re: What do you think is next??
I don't know...I'd say a monitored cycle with meds and trigger with timed intercourse, or even IUI if you want to go in that direction.

Re: What do you think is next??
If you go to an RE they might consider IUI for you. And why not? Maybe your CM is hostile? Could be something as simple as that, and an IUI would bypass all that jazz.

Re: What do you think is next??
Your OB will probably refer you to an RE, who will probably want to monitor you on a medicated cycle, and combine with IUI.... that's my guess anyhow

Re: What do you think is next??
Deana/Kristie- What do you mean by medicated cycle? The only meds I've been on are Clomid, Estrogen, and Progesterone. All without monitoring though.
Thanks Katrina- My DH would be thrilled to know my CM is hostile too. .

They'd probably start out monitoring you on CLomid....see how it affects you and go from there

Re: What do you think is next??
My RE allows a patient to take Femara (or for you clomid) without getting checked for cysts on the ovaries and such. However, if you want to take the Femara along with trigger, then they must check everything out before hand. By monitored, first, they bring you in on CD1-3 to check your ovaries for cysts. (which I was told isn't that common although I've read of several people who have had one) If you have a cyst...that cycle is a no go. If all clear, you'll take the Femara/clomid more than likely CD3-8 and then go back in on CD11 or 12 for a follicle check. Every doc is different, but mine requires a follicle of at least size 18 before he will allow trigger. This is why you hear several of us talking about the sizes and waiting another 2 days and so forth. If you are ready to go with the size, they will tell you when to take the trigger shot and the O will usually happen 36-40 hours later. They will also tell you when to have intercourse. For you, since DH is good, it will probably be the night of the shot and the following 2 nights as well. This is the timed intercourse round. If you go IUI, then you will go back in 36 hours (or when they decide) after the shot for the procedure. =)
I say go with the timed intercourse if they give you a choice at least for a month or two. (save some money if you can) If you want to speed the process up, then IUI. Best part for you is you will know EXACTLY when you O and will hopefully catch it.
I hope this makes sense. =) Let us know what you decide to do or what they say is next! =)
