It Went Back to Low. WTF?!?!?
Despite what FF says, I don't think I've Od this cycle. Now, this morning, my CBEFM went back to LOW!!! OMG, what is really going on?! It's been high from CD8 (i'm guessing) until yesterday, CD24. Now it's reading LOW. A few days ago my OPK sticks have gotten darker (not as dark as they should be, but dark) so I thought I was heading in the right direction but after seeing what happened today, I don't know what to think. My temps have been slowly declining too.
Any input, comments, thoughts, etc...would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm SOO bummed.

Re: It Went Back to Low. WTF?!?!?
I'm guessing it didn't ask you for a stick today either, right? The monitor is designed to handle a cycle that I think is a maximum of 40 days. It can only do a certain number of days, I think .. . maybe 20? And if you don't O in that time, then it just goes back to low (perhaps assuming you already O'd or just giving up).
If you think you are close to O'ing, I'd try OPKs. I O'd once on CD 25, and the monitor was good because it didn't start asking for sticks from me until CD 9.
BTW - are you having progesterone drawn to see if you did O on the meds? It is possible to take Clomid and not O, unfortunately.

Re: It Went Back to Low. WTF?!?!?
Oh no, it did ask for a stick today and it did calculate that I was on CD25. I don't think it would reset itself until you manually hit that M button (M for AF). It's crazy how it went back to Low. I'm curious to see what tomorrow brings.
Being on CD25, I started taking them on CD6 and now I think I have about 5 left (out of my box of 30). If you look a my chart, I've been using the OPKs intermittenly to backup the monitor. The last two days, they were getting darker, but this morning there was absolutely no second line at all. Funny thing is today I had C/EW CM, but now that I think about it, it could have been residual from the day before BD. Gross..TMI, sorry.
I think I'm about done TTC with all this mumbo-jumbo temping & tests etc!! Maybe I'll try getting knocked up the old-fashioned way...totally by accident. LOL
Thanks T for your input. Time will tell what's going, or not going on! Oh, and no my reg OB doesn't do Progesterone tests, or any type of labs or u/s while on Clomid. Downside of not seeing an RE. Oh well, thanks again!

Re: It Went Back to Low. WTF?!?!?
Trinity - I'm sorry - I know it is frustrating. Unfortunately, I'd guess that you just didn't ovulate, so the monitor would actually have been doing its job, frustrating as it is.
If you try medicine again, you could wait to start using the sticks until after the Clomid/estrogen is done . . . it should eliminate the early high readings, and I'd guess if you ovulate next time, it won't be until a bit later in your cycle (like CD 17 or 18) so starting the sticks closer to CD 13 or 14 wouldn't hurt you at all.

I agree Trinity - Maybe Clomid isn't the best medication for you either. Maybe you didn't O and the monitor is set up to go back to low after that many sticks.

Trinity, I don't know anything about the monitors, but I wanted to wish you luck. I just use FF and temping and don't seem to even know what is going on with just those two things. =) I hope you O soon if you haven't already!

Re: It Went Back to Low. WTF?!?!?
I do remember reading on other sites that it only reads so many times, and then goes back to low if you haven't ovulated..but I can't remember if it asks for a stick or just goes back to low without asking for a stick..i'm sorry, hon...I would be so frustrated too!!

Re: It Went Back to Low. WTF?!?!?
Awww, thanks everyone! It is crazy. Yesterday it did ask for a stick and then this morning it didn't. It started flashing the M (for AF) for me to reset it, and I didn't. I'm not going to press it until AF does really start.
I like your advice T about not starting the sticks until much later. It's obvious in my two cycles on CL that I don't O until MUCH later, if I even do. I don't think I have to worry though because I have a feeling my OB will send me to an RE. I was telling Amy that I think we're going to take a break for a few months and get the drugs out of my system. I need to lose some weight too, so I think I should focus on that and maybe try again after I'm down a bit. It's a win-win really.
Thanks for all of the support friends!! You guys are a huge help!

Re: It Went Back to Low. WTF?!?!?
Good luck, whatever you decide! The monitor is really only made for people with "normal" cys - I pushed the limit one time on Clomid - it was the last day the monitor would have taken a stick when it went to peak. Do what you think is best for you. Were your cycles normal before when you ttc piper? I know for me, the longer I'm off any meds, the more likely my cys are to get wacky. I am great the first few months off of bcps. Weight loss is supposed to help regulate irregular cys, but with PCOS, I always found that the longer I was off my meds and trying, the harder it was to lose weight and get back to healthy (hormones and such make weight loss tough). The metformin did help me a lot to keep me ovulating every month and not gain too much weight.
If you are thinking of taking a break, you should trust your instincts about that!

Aw I'm sad to hear this. I know how excited you were to use the monitor. What a bummer. Whatever you decide, I do hope you get a very soon. I know how badly it hurts to want another and struggle. We hit the 2 year mark in April and well it sucks this time around as much as it did the first time around. Hang in there and we're here for you.

Thanks T for the encouragement! FF took away my cross hairs this AM, but I found that if my temp jumps tomorrow then they will come back. Guess it's all a crapshoot really! To answer your question, my cycles have ALWAYS been irregular. Ever since I was a young teen, I would skip months. When I got PG with P, we weren't trying one way or the other. She was a total surprise blessing....now a blessing even more considering the hard time we're having.
I did read something encouraging on the monitor's userguide. It said something to the effect that if you're on Clomid, the increased levels of Estrogen could 'hide' the LH surge and the result would be several Highs instead of a Peak, when you really did Ovulate. So there is hope, I suppose. I'm not only because I'm thinking I'm out for the month. I'll take my own advice, it's not over til the rears her ugly head.
Thanks T, oh and could you put down my Dr. Appt on 6-5 to discuss my general health. Thanks!

Thanks Kara, very sweet. It's a bummer, but having friends on here makes it a lot more bearable. I know I'm not alone, and it does bring me comfort. I'm confident it will happen sooner or later, and I'm sure it will for you too. I recently read that there is only a 20% chance of conception each month for completely healthy people, so I'm not stressing about it. I know that won't help anyway. All we can do is and hope for the best!

Re: It Went Back to Low. WTF?!?!?
Have you ever been tested for PCOS? My cys are irregular (not missing) and I do ovulate on my own (not every cy, and not always well), but being on simple medication like glucophage makes a big difference for me - really regulates me. I think if we weren't dealing with MFI, we might have gotten pregnant on our own.

Re: It Went Back to Low. WTF?!?!?
Yes, I've been tested for PCOS and I don't have it. It would explain a lot though if I did. Like I said they have always been messed up, and it's really amazing that I even got PG with P. I think that once I get some weight off it will make a difference....in many ways. Being OW screws up a lot of things, and ovulating is one of them. So that's my plan....in 10lb increments, see below
