Well appointment did not go very well.I have both sides blocked.So the only way I can get pregnant is Ivf.I start birth control pills next week.Then I think he says I will start Lupron.I am so excited and scared all at the same time.I pray it works the first time.If it doesnt I will not be able to afford to do it the second time..I pray it works..I was so nervous at the appointment.I just knew God had to be guiding me.I prayed before I left.I didnt even cry this time.I just said Ok I guess its Ivf for us.I also said how fast can we do it???Lol I have been waiting long enough.

I'm sorry about your tubes being blocked . . . what did they say about the sac in your uterus at your u/s?

As for IVF - well, you know it was my miracle, too. It is scary, and quite a roller coaster ride, but it is also a truly wonderful thing. You sound like you have a similar protocol to me - I started on bcps, then did lupron. Just take it one step at a time, and if you have questions, or need tips, I've got a lot I can share!!

I'm sorry your tubes were blocked, but glad to hear you still have a route and IVF is in your future. I pray it works the first time around and you have a little miracle in your arms soon enough!

Okay, here is what we did:

When AF arrived, I started on bcps. On day 19 of bcps, I started Lupron. I stopped the bcps after day 21, continued the lupron, and waited for AF. When AF arrived, I went in for bloodwork and an u/s. My u/s was good, but my estrogen was too high, so they had me do another 3 days of lupron. I went in for more bloodwork, and I was good to go. I continued taking lupron and started taking follistim and luveris that night. I went in for regular bloodwork and u/s checks. I stimmed for about 8 days, but some women will stim for up to 12 days. The lupron is the medicine that suppresses you. When I was ready, I stopped the lupron, follistim and luveris and I did the trigger shot. On the 2nd morning, we went in for egg retrieval. That was easier than I expected! We got the fertilization report the next day, and then we learned we would be doing a 3 day transfer. We went back in on the 3rd day, and they put the embies back. I then had the dreaded 2ww. You will definitely take progesterone after ER until the end . . . there is either progesterone in oil shots or suppositories (I'd ask for the suppositories!!). That is the process in a nutshell! Your doctor will explain the meds, and I had to take an injection class so they could show me how to do the shots. Some doctors just give you a video. I did all the shots in my belly, but some prefer the thigh. Once you start the injections, it really does go quickly!
