Would you please put that I have a "clomid consult" (yes another one

) on July 28 @ 4:15pm. As you will all recall everything was all set for me to finish bc pills later this month, call doc and she would call in script for 50mg. No problem right? WRONG. About a week ago I decided to be all proactive and call doc's office to tell them where I am at in my cycle and in case doc is going on vacation (which ironically she is the whole week of July 21) and just leave message to remind her bc pills are done later this month and to call in script for Clomid. Well apparently this was the stupidest action on my part because now she wants me to come in for ANOTHER consult (hello didn't we do that in Feb?) AND this is the kicker she says "make sure you stop at the cashier's on your way and pay $116.00 out of pocket" so we can tell you the exact same thing and talk about the exact same thing we did in Feb that your insurance paid for back then (insert sarcasm here) WHAT more is there to possibly talk about? We talked at great length about all this then, she was totally on board with everything, and there was no problem. Now suddenly this? I'm so tempted to call up my old doc (my awesome doc) and see if she's willing to put me back on Clomid herself. Obviously I'm not as she's 2 hours away but I'm tempted. So now I have to see the same doc to talk about the same stuff and I have to pay $116.00 to talk about the same exact stuff. I'm beyond pissed!! So much for trying to be proactive and making contacts before I go on vacation. All the good it did me. I have a feeling she's gonna make me wait to go on Clomid. Hello...I don't make eggs people. What part of that don't you get? Why is she doing this to me? I mean we know Clomid was the magic bullet in my situation. That's how we got Ava. I just needed to vent. I guess I'll know more come July 28th. I hate how doctors say one thing and everyone is in agreement and then suddenly completely change their tune...a tune that's gonna cost me an additional $116. Geesh

I'm so sorry... that is so frustrating. Maybe you could get the RE to call you and speak to you about it... maybe she forgot that you've already went through all of this.

Oh Man!!

You know what... that would really set me off too, and I'd have to say that I think I would end up calling the old doctor.

I would just be outraged and feel like they saw me as $$$$ and not a patient trying to have a child.

I'm sorry, it's very upsetting to be ready to take the next step and then hit a wall.

I'm thinking of you.

I would be so mad that is horrible they want you to pay that amount for course you have already been through!I am sorry I hope it all works out and you end with the clomid and a bfp the first time!

I would be so mad. You seriously need to call them and say just what you said in your post. We already discussed this, you said we're going on clomid, the only reason I called is because I'm almost done w/ my BC pills and wanted to make sure I got my Clomid in time. If you make me come in I will have to pay anohter $116 for something we already agreed on. Be brave!! You can do it! Just tell them.

Kara ~ that is just stupid to make you come in and pay money when they know exactly what they are going to do. I hope you can call the old Doc or get them to just call in your RX without seeing them.

I dont know anything about Clomid, but I felt this same way when I was having trouble with my IUD and I did call in a second opinion which got the ball moving in the right direction. I was outraged that I was going to have to wait and then come back for 2 more visits just because the Dr was lazy and didnt want to listen to what I was telling him (we know our bodies better than they do) If it was me, I would call the Dr back and "remind" them that you have already been through this, and maybe ask if you can skip it and just get the script because you feel well informed, not to mention broke. If you still dont like what you would hear I would consider calling the old Dr. and seeing what she has to say, maybe she would be so kind as to call in a script for you without you having to pay the extra money. Of course she may want to see you too, but I would try out the options before I would just go with the flo so to speak. Liek the old saying goes " the squeaky wheel gets the grease" Hope it helps, I am thinking of you and wishing you luck with your BFP in the coming months!!

I'm so sorry . . . is there any way you can talk to the nurse and say you already did the consult and there is supposed to be a note in your file about the Clomid prescription so you didn't have to do the consult a 2nd time?

What a pain in the butt! I agree with the other girls try calling and getting out of another consult.
