Temp drop?
Hey ladies!!...
My temp has gone from 98.0 to 9.5 on CD 16 and 17 which was from what I understand when I potentially ovulated the day after it went back up to 98.0 and now the last couple of days CD 19 and 20 it has been 97.7 ?? Im new to all this soo I am not sure if it even means anything... And how soon dpo can I test??

Re: Temp drop?
You can usually get a pretty accurate test on 10dpo. Some girls can test even earlier and others can test even later. It is hard to tell with your temps if you o'd or not. I would recommend getting one of the temping softwares to help keep an eye on everything. Maybe try fertilityfriend.com or My Fertility Charts - Online Ovulation Charting
Good luck!!!

Re: Temp drop?
Are you taking your temp at the same time every day? I found that my temps were really wonky until I started setting an alarm.

Re: Temp drop?
Follow up question from me then: If you take your temperature at the same time every day, does that mean you're waking up, for example, at 6am 7 days a week? I've tried charting my temps but not at the exact same time every day.

Re: Temp drop?
yup, that's what I do. Actually my alarm is set for 5:30 b/c I'm still nursing my little guy and he'll often wake up around 5 for a feeding and then go back to sleep, so I'll temp when he wakes up or at 5:30, whichever is earlier, and go back to bed for another couple hours after he's done.

Re: Temp drop?
I see! Thanks for the info! I havent been getting up at the same time and that's probably why I haven't had consistent results.

Re: Temp drop?
For me I usually wake up between 0530 and 0630 (but I like to lay in bed for a bit before I start the day), I try to consistanly to test within that hour window frame. Usually I temp around 0615 when I start to hear DS waking up

Re: Temp drop?
I highly recommend Fertility Friend. I am a visual person, and unless I see an actual chart, it's hard for me to really see where your numbers are going. However, if I had to take a guess, you may have O'd when you had that temp drop below your coverline and then the jump. You will see in some charts, a dip in temp. before the big temp change. I'm probably not much help, but I hope this is it for you!

Re: Temp drop?
I'm inclined to say that you O'ed either CD15 or CD17, but it's hard to say based on just temps since the OPK's were positive on separate days. Any chance you've been keeping track of CM?

Re: Temp drop?
I agree Fertility Friend is the best! I think anytime after 10 dpo you could start testing. Good luck to you!

Re: Temp drop?
I am no expert, but I would be inclined to say that you O'd on CD17.

Re: Temp drop?
I'm wondering if CD17 OPK was bad stick? I'm not sure how to figure the coverline, but even if you did O on CD17, there isn't the 0.2 consecutive temp rise.....
