Hi, and
Mandy (mk9906) and I are the hosts of this board! If you need anything, feel free to ask either one of us. I think you will find a wonderful supportive group of ladies here.
I, too, have PCOS, and 30 follicles at the baseline u/s is pretty common for PCOS (I usually have 35-45). I'm a bit surprised they are starting you at 225 for stims with that many follicles, although some doctors will start PCOS women that high. People with PCOS are at a greater risk for over-responding and ending up with too many follicles. Usually, they start women with PCOS off really low (unless you have a history of not responding), and then build up if needed. I think I was on varying amounts from 66-116 on my IUI cycles - most of the cycle spent around 96 units, with usually a few days each cycle going up to 112-116. I usually had around 2-4 follicles ready by trigger time (and for much of the cycle, they were often worried I would have too many - 11 or 12 would be growing significantly, so they'd drop down my meds to kill a few off). I actually just did an IVF cycle, and I was mostly at 150, with just a few days at 225.
I hope that helps! GL with your stims . . . it can be a scary process figuring out how to do the shots, and how you will respond, and what all the numbers mean. If I can help in any way, I will!
