QOTN - Question of the Night

I only get online at night, so here is my QOTN....

YAY DH is off to a poker game....don't get me wrong, I'm not happy he is gambling our money or gone, but actually, I am happy to have the house to myself, so I was thinking all day, what can I eat for dinner that he hates??? So I indulged and bought frozen fried shrimp. I don't really eat fried foods (try not to) but he hates seafood, and they were on sale...and I never get the house to myself!

So, I am so happy to watch my Thursday shows without him groaning that he doesn't want to watch Ugly Betty and Grey's Anantomy..

I am doing 2 loads of laundry and reading a magazine...What is everyone's guilty pleasures???? What is your favorite food that DH hates?

My all-time favorite is green chicken thai curry and jasmine rice. He says it smells like "cat piss" when I make it, but it is my all time favorite....

Woohoo for some alone time!! I always look forward to my hubby getting home in the afternoons but I'll admit I enjoy the time to myself during the day when Kian is napping and hubby is at work.

The only thing I can think of that I like and hubby hates is popcorn. I mean he seriously can not STAND the smell of it. I just got some at the store tonight and he was like "NOOOO!!!" and I promised him I would only make it when he's not home

Leah - I can so relate. My dh hates seafood so I usually eat that when he is gone. He also hates Mexican food. Who can really hate Mexican food? I good veggie burrito or a fajitas hit the spot. I don't get many nights where dh is gone. We used to have class on different nights and I had that one night a week to myself to watch my own shows or do whatever I wanted, but now I never get that. Take advantage of your time. I hope dh wins some money for you.

I don't think there is much we do agree on when it comes to food. He likes boring and bland, I like spicy everything.

I think it's the other way around for me and dh. He loves chicken and dumplins and I can't stand them. Ugh...soggy tortillas...soooo gross! And I know this sounds really dorky, but dh and I don't spend that much time away from each other. If we do, I always pop in a girly movie that he doesn't like...The Notebook, Titanic, etc.

I love chicken and dumplins ..Husband cant stand them..So when he works nights we have them so hummy...

Dh hates seafood so I load up on sushi and fish when he's not around. I hate not being around him, but I love the occassional night or day by myself. I used to live by myself when I lived in Phoenix and I loved every minute of it. Now I don't know how I stayed so happy by myself all the time. I'd spend every day with dh if I could.

Andrea, you are my girl! DH is so meat and potatoes man! no spices, he teases me, what do you want tonight? the chicken or the chicken?

or he asks, do you want mexican or asian? I am a spice aholic....Mom always said I like to play with my food....I still do...dipping sauces, etc....
