My first job was at a florist when I was a junior in high school. It was a great job!! I got fired because I went skiing with my family over our winter break and missed Valentine's Day. Sort of a big day to miss!!

I have never been sky diving but have always wanted to. I was actually signed up right after I graduated college but my parents flipped out and told me that if God forbid anything happened (broken leg or such - a friend of the family broke both legs doing it) that they would not help me at all since they were so against it. Eventually they wore me down I felt like I couldn't do it to them. I always wish I did it - but never will now that I have Amy...

My first job was at our University Bookstore in college. I think I started out making $5.25 an hour! And probably working 15 hours a week, I was in college.

I have never been sky diving and the only way I would is if someone held 2 guns to my head and shoved me out of a plane!!!!

I was 15 almost 16 when I got my first job. I worked at Ivar's fish market in the mall. So I sold, breaded, and served fish after school and on the weekends. I have never been without a job since I was 15. Man will this working thing ever end. LOL

My grandpa promised my brother and I that he would take us skydiving when we turned 18, I moved away and lived with my mom and my brother didn't make my grandpa hold up to his deal so we missed out on that chance. My grandfather was a pilot and owned his own plane in a airpark in Phoenix. He died a few years back, but flying always makes me thing of him.

My first job was when I was 16....I worked at a Hallmark store for a few years moving up to assistant mgr. I started out at $4.75 an hr I think....about 25hrs/week.

I'm with mk9906 on the sky diving thing....never have and never will!!

My first job besides babysitting was lifeguarding at our neighborhood pool. I made $4.75 an hour and eventually got a couple raises that took me to $5.20 an hour. I worked about 35 - 50 hours a week. It was one of the best jobs. I would also work private pool parties and made between $50 - $100 each party. It was the best job. I spent money on bathing suits, had a beautiful tan, and a great body from all the swimming. Oh well and you could stare at all the hot guys with your sunglasses on...and they didn't know!!!!

Sky diving....oh no! Have never tried it and don't think I ever will. Too scary for me!

Sigh...... one of the downsides to the family biz......... I worked at other places in college and such but first actual paycheck was working for the fam over the summer in high school. (they didn't want us to get jobs during the school year ......... ok by me)

Thought about sky-diving but i'm accident prone so not sure if that's a great combo. And at least since one particular bad flight not a huge fan of airplanes :p

What was your VERY first job? Do you remember how much you were paid and how many hours you worked? My first job was when I was 15. I was a party hostess at a skating rink and I loved it! I worked about 20-30 hours a week and made $5.25 sn hour plus about $20-30 tip for each party. I usually had about 4 a day on the weekends. When I wasn't working parties at the skating rink, I was a snackbar girl sometimes and a floor guard sometimes. It was fun!

Have you ever been sky diving? If not then would you be willing to? NEVER, NEVER, NEVER...did I say NEVER?!!??!! I am so with Mandy! I've never even stepped foot on ANY kind of airplane let alone one I'm going to JUMP from! DH wants to do it though...

My first job was babysitting my two second-cousins. I watched them from 7am till 6pm every day M-F all summer long, then during the school year, I watched them from the moment we got on the bus till 6pm. I did that from 7th grade till I graduated...then they were old enough! Those two boys became more like my baby brothers..and I'd do anything from them!! We recently (ok..2 years now ) lost the youngest in a go-cart accident. He was 15, 2 months shy of his 16th b'day!! It happened right after I got engaged, and the day of the accident, I was about to call them to ask them to be in the wedding..when my mom called!!! I think I made like 300 a week or so during the school week, and 550 or 600 during the summer.

Now..the jumping out of a plane... ...have you looked at my medical history!! I'd be lucky and live through it...like all my other "fun" stuff...but I'd probably break everything!!!!! So..you won't see a parachute on this back...and since I hate planes to begin with... unless on some trip to Europe (if I don't take a boat!!!!) and there was a problem..nope..staying inside thanks!

My first job was when I was 16....I was a lovely carhop at Sonic. I worked there all the way until I graduated high school. It was lots of fun and I believe that I started out making $4.75 plus tips.

I would soooo love to sky dive! I think the thrill and rush of it all would be amazing. If I was a little younger and not looking to start a family I think I would put more into making it happen. Heck, I don't know that if I would actually do it now if given the chance

Hi everyone! I'm 16 don't have an actual job I stay home with my baby pitbull [that's a job itself ] while my fiance works.

No I haven't gone sky diving I'm horrified of heights so lol I never plan too, my fiance wants to though!

My first job was at an ice cream parlor in our hometown that has been in business forever. They make the ice cream right there. I think I made 4.25 an hour. I did work for my parents in their furniture store when I was younger, but, I don't count that.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to skydive! However a co-worker of mine (a Senator in Colorado) went up for a jump last year and the lady before him, her shoot didn't open and she actually died, and she was a seasoned jumper...so that kind of scared me (and HIM! he only found out later after he landed that she died..... But I really thinkI would like to try it. I think it would be exhilarating!

1st job- I worked as the ticket taker at a movie theater and started the day I turned 16. I made $3.35 an hour and worked about 25 hours per week. I loved it. I saw free movies and ate free popcorn and nachos ANYTIME I wanted. We used to close the theater down and invite tons of friends up to watch movies at midnight when I got older. I am still friends with several of the guys I worked with.


Sky Diving: Nope, I've never been. The only way I would go is if it were free! Otherwise, I can't see paying tons of money to jump out of a plane! =)

My first job when I turned 16 was at Bath and Body Works. I love working there, and moved up quickly. Then I worked at William-Sonoma too. I can't remember how much I made, but it wasn't bad pay I remember.

I would never go sky diving. I would like to think I would though, but no way.

I have never been sky diving and won't do it in the future. I'll stay on a roller coaster all day long, but free falling is not for me!

QOTD Friday - I also worked at a skating rink the summer after I turned 16.. I got to be a party hostess, snack bar attendant and lifegaurd at our waterslides during the summer... I had such an incredible time.. and the manager was my dads best friend.. So I go away with MURDER... LOL!

QOTD Saturday- I would LOVE to go Skydiving hubby and I are adrenalin junkies .. altho you wouldn't know lately since we work different shifts.. BLAH!
