QOTD-Friday 7-11-08
HAPPY FRIDAY everyone!
Let's get some venting out before the weekend.
Is there anything your neighbors, co-workers, friends, or strangers do that annoy you?
I have several and thought I just let it all out here!

Re: QOTD-Friday 7-11-08
I'll keep this as short as possible:
The people behind me have a yapper. For some reason, it barks and barks every time it is outside. Non-stop. I'm surprised the dog doesn't have laryngitis! Well, they leave it out all night and they do this quite often. The other night the dog barked from 1:30 until 5 in the morning. I was awake the entire time. Boy was I mad. I actually went over to their house, barefoot, in my pjs, through the wet grass and banged on their door, rang the doorbell, and NO answer. So, needless to say nothing has been done about it. I think next time I'll call the police.
One other thing....We have a neighbor that mows their grass at 8am on Saturday morning. Isn't that sleep in day???
PHEW....okay there. I did my venting for the week.

Re: QOTD-Friday 7-11-08
Kristie ~ the people behind our house have 3 little yapper dogs and they bark at all different times. Luckily we have a brick house and it is very insulated but we can hear the dogs if we are in the family room. Plus they don't take care of their yard. Their trees are overgrown and they drop leaves into our yard and into our pool and it is a constant struggle to keep the pool clean. ARGHH....
Plus their roof is falling apart and every time there is a strong wind or storm, the shingles come of in pieces into our yard and of course into our pool again!!

Re: QOTD-Friday 7-11-08
How much can I post???
We have a neighbor on the next block a few houses down that ALWAYS sounds like they're haivng a huge party. To the point one night we had to close our windows to hear the TV (and we could still hear the music). DH finally went over there one day and it's the dad just sitting in his backyard playing music off his laptop through the outdoor speakers. Now DH and I are all for playing music outside - but be respectful of your neighbors! They also have a dog that they let out at 5:30 that barks all morning!!!
My other big issue is people walking on the sidewalks. I work in Manhattan and it's pretty crowded...but why when people don't know where they are going do they stop and look up in the air??? What are they looking for up there???? I keep joking that I'm going to write a book on how to walk on sidewalks (I feel it's a lot like driving...).
Well, that wasn't too bad. Thatnks for letting me vent! Now I'm done!

Re: QOTD-Friday 7-11-08
My neighbor has a tree that is falling over onto our property.
It's been like that for a while now and they've done nothing to fix it.
I guess it does not matter to them since it's the back of their house
but it happens to be the front of our house. It just annoys me because
it looks awful. I feel like just tipping it over to their side. OK glad I got that out.

Our neighbors next door dont take care of their yard at all and their dog always pees on the dividing fence so some of it gets into our yard!!
Also, at work, there's a guy who when its really quiet in the office you can hear him clipping his nails!!! WTF??? why at work??/ GO HOME!

Re: QOTD-Friday 7-11-08
I can't stand my neighbors dog. I have this one moment, before I go to bed that I love to open my window and feel the fresh air and listen to the crickets and it really relaxes me....until that #$%*(& dog starts barking! I almost can't take it anymore. It also runs free (since they don't seem to walk the dog) and it poops in our yard. My DH is at his breaking point with the dog crap.

Re: QOTD-Friday 7-11-08
Hmmm... I wonder if any of my neighbors hate my dogs??? LOL! I've spoken to all of my neighbors and they all love when my dogs come to visit (which is like once a month, if that. I don't think our one set of part time neighbors like my dogs, but I don't care, because I don't like those neighbors.
I would have to say I hate when one of my coworkers never seems to think anything is done right - but she won't do anything herself!!!!! For example, I was in charge of sending home info about fundraisers, so every class got the information. She had to pass it out to her kids, but then got frustrated with me because she didn't know the fundraiser was running!! AAAAAHH!! And, my friend and I do EVERYTHING at school. When I had my m/c, the teachers gave me a card, which was very nice. Well, this teacher was reading my thank you and said, "Well, didn't we get you flowers?" I said "no". She responded "Oh, well we talked about it, I guess we didn't act on it" I wanted to say duh, because I wasn't the one you could go to and have take care of it! I told my friend and she had never heard about it, and said she would have taken care of it if she had known they wanted to send flowers. We laughed about how nothing gets done if we don't do it.
Boy, thanks Kristie, that felt good to vent!!

Re: QOTD-Friday 7-11-08
My coworker is completely a waste of money. The other day, he listened to the office voicemails, (5 of them), didn't call anyone back. Then, he wasted a piece of paper to write LEAH and a big arrow to the answering machine....UM HELLO, I can see the light is flashing. What's the point of listening to the voicemails if he wasn't intending to take any action UUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH. Everyday I have to ask him ....Then why didn't you do ______? I think were getting ready to let him go.

Re: QOTD-Friday 7-11-08
Kristie- Do you live on the other side of my lawn-mowing at the butt-crack of dawn neighbor?!?! OMG, he's out there at like 7am on a Saturday. It's a kid, and I'm all for him helping out the family with the chores, but DUDE wait til freakin 9 am at least!!!!!!! OMG!!!
Also, at my job we have interns for the summer. Well today one was sitting next to me and I kept hearing her talk to herself. CRAZY. It was very annoying, so I go over to the guy that sits on the other side and I gestured to an email that I sent him that read " Is homegirl talking to herself or what!?". He nodded and pointed to the earplugs he was wearing for his IPod. Tuning her out!! WISE man!
I can't stand that my MIL doesn't respect our wishes when DD is at their house. She comes home and I hear how she ate dinner at 9pm, went to bed at midnight, and had soda to drink. OMG!! She's 5, she needs to eat dinner early due to her reflux, her bedtime is at 8 (9 or 10 on Sat), and she DOES NOT EVER DRINK SODA!!!!!!! She also comes home with her hair a mess. Just put it in a freakin pony tail, it's not that hard. She comes home looking like an orphan!!!
Another MIL gripe....I'm sorry if my SIL (her daughter) chooses to stay home with her soon-to-be 3 kids, if she's broke and can't afford Christmas presents from 'santa', don't BUY HER PRESENTS TO GIVE TO THE KIDS FROM "SANTA" AND then buy them regular mimi & papa presents. That makes me SOOOO mad. Also, Jordan (my neice) is a spoiled brat who needs a good spank. OMG, she can not go out in public without having some sort of meltdown because she didn't get her way....and she's 7 ,GET OVER IT!!! Then my inlaws are so concerned "why is Jordan crying, what's wrong with Jordan?" I'm thinking "Who the eff CARES, she probably didn't like the way someone looked at her!!!".
WOW, I have some in-law issues huh?!?! hahahahaha That did feel better though. Thanks K!
