Where do you live? Have you always lived there? What brought you there? (military wives, I know this list can be forever long!)

I am currently in upstate South Carolina and don't think I would have it any other way. I am slowly being converted to a Southern Girl I was born and raised in a suburb outside of Chicago and went to college in Indiana where I met DH. His job had him transfer down here, and we've been here for 2 and a half years!

I live in Central NC. I love where I live!!!!! I even love my town!!!!! Often my friends from other states say that NC has it all: beaches, mountains, and rolling hills. I did go to undergrad in Kentucky where I met my Texan hubby, and we moved back here after college.

I am not a millitary wife, but I was a millitary child. I have lived in Jacksonville, FL, Milton, FL, Iceland, Hawaii, California, Mississippi, Virginia Beach, VA (where I lived for 20 years so I guess I am technically from there), and now I live in Raleigh, NC. I have also spent time in Germany, Spain, Italy, and Austria, but was a child and don't have a whole lot of memories. My DH is from West VA and we met at VA Tech. GO HOKIES!

I'm originally from NE Pennsylvania and am now in south central PA. I never thought I would leave the area where i grew up, but DH got a job out here, so I followed him after graduating from college. I really like it here, and I think we're here to stay. We are in a very, VERY rural area.

I'm in Mid-Missouri. have lived in this town since 2005, and I absolutely love it! DH got his job and we moved here. Before we lived in a small town and knew we couldn't grow like we wanted to there. I've been in Missouri since my 3rd grade year, so I'm technically a Missourian! I have also lived in Michigan and Indiana.

I'm in a suburb up Phoenix Arizona. I was born and raised here but I followed my mom when she remarried and move to Spokane Washington. I spent 9 years living in the Northwest, but I am such a daddy’s and I had to move back home. I met dh a few months after I moved back. He had lived most of his life in central Wisconsin and we both felt out of place in Phoenix until we met each other. We are happy where we are but dh would love it if we could move back to Wisconsin. I would freeze to death after living in the sun for so long!

Ditto to newbiettc I'm a "Missourian" too

Grew up in the suburbian st. louis area - went to college, came back to stl.

DH and i got our first house a bit west of where i grew up (same general stl area) DH grew up more outside of stl and never liked living so quite in the suburbs. (He grew up on 6 acres so used to some space)

so now we're a little further out, pretty much right where he grew up but at least in a subdivision but it's pretty spread out so good deal. He has space and i'm at least within 15-20 mins of decent shopping / grocery / whatever

Although despite not moving around much I've visited almost all the continental states, and DH spent a lot of time in san diego and loved it so if it ever is possible / see what happens w/ our business, we may at some point end up out around there. I'd be glad to not have ick winters anymore

I'm a SoCal girl ALL the way. I was born on the Central Coast, then moved to Northern til I was 10, and then down to the LA area where I met my DH (who is from West Hollywood) who carried me away to North TX where we're currently living. We've been here since 2001 and totally love it, but I will always be a Cali girl!

DH and I have both grown up in Ohio. WE grew up in a small rural area in southern-Ohio, but our jobs have moved us to the big city... Go Bucks!!!

I live in Wisconsin, in the city I grew up in, but at 18, after a year of college, I joined the Navy, moved to Great Lakes IL, then to San Diego, then to Chinhae, South Korea for 3.5 years (where I met DH and married) then to Pearl City, Hawaii for 3 years, then to Loveland, Colorado for 5 years.. and then back to Wisconsin....Work brought us everywhere but Wisconsin....family finally brought us here....

I was born in Texas, moved to Florida when I was 13 but moved back after we had our dd to be near my family. We live in the Texas Panhandle and all of my family is here and dh's parents are now here as well.

I live on the other side of the world, Australia. Was born in Sydney I have been on holidays to other states and countries but have always lived in Sydney. I have moved around various suburbs but never outside of sydney.

I was born in South Africa, moved to Portugal with my parents when I was 15. Lived in a rural village. Met DH at work in the city, but when we got married we decided to stay rural, so we bought our apartment in another rural villlage. I love it here, we're 20 minuts from the beach and 20 from the mountain. It's all nature out here, really great! On day I'll post a pic of the view from our apartment.
