For those of you who use OPK's - how often do you use them (once or twice each day)? The IC's I bought recommend using them twice for best results, once in the afternoon and once in the evening. Is this really necessary? Is one time better than the other? I'll be lucky to remember to use them during one of the recommended times!
I always use mine twice. If you have a shorter surge you may miss it if you only take 1 a day. If you test in the late morning and your surge isn't there yet, you will get a negative and then you surge sometime in the evening and your surge is short, you will still get a negative the next morning. If you test in the evening also you will have the best chance of getting your surge. Does that make sense?

I use the CB Digitals because I hate trying to figure out if the line is dark enough. I like just the !!! Those are easy. I only use 1 a day, in the evenings after work. If I feel like it is getting close I will watch the line and maybe do it in the morning too. Because I like POAS...I will usually start them on cd 10 or when I notice that my CM is starting to thin out.

When I used IC's I often missed my surge because I wasn't testing twice a day. With regular OPKs, I usually only tested once. Good luck to you, your dd is sooo cute.

I test twice a day, first around 9:30 or 10:00 and another when I get home around 5:30 or 6:00, but after reading Amy's post, I may do another one around 8:00pm. I think I'm getting close, yesterdays at 9:30 was half as dark as the CL and my 5:30 one was darker yet, so I'm getting close to a Positive!!

I test once a day when I get within a few days of my usual O time, and then I test twice a day once the line starts to "fade in." I always tend to have a doy or so of half-darks before I get a positive, so I use that as my start point for twice-daily tests.
