Ok, so I recorded that show OMG! Sextuplets! last week. Just sat down to watch it, but stopped it a while ago, made me nervous. The couples names were Jenny & Bryan...just like me and my husband. Ok, hope that is not a sign. HaHa. She said she did IUI and was on follitism...with that is there more chance of multiples???

I was MIA this weekend, we went to our hometown...had a good weekend. I had my annual (pap) this morning and have my HSG tomorrow and other appts this week. I am nervous and emotional. So I may not be around much this week.

Jenny, I recently watched the show myself and agree it is a little scary that they had six babies from an IUI but I do think it's rare. Jenny (from the show) like Kate (from Jon & Kate plus 8) said their case is very rare and they are one of about a dozen set of sextuplets in the whole country. Maybe you can talk to you Dr. about your concern of having multiples.

Also, I watched that show last night, and I thought it was very interesting, but I agree with you...it was a little scary too. I couldn't peel myself away from it. I'm glued to the tube when it comes to stuff like that. I wouldn't let DH watch it though since our next step is possible IUI, lol! KUP on your appts.

TTC since July 2007-off bcp! but not ovulating and irregular cys

March '08: REI consult, dx with PCOS. DH is good-no MFI!
March-June: clomid-no O
June: injectibles, no luck =(
July: officially reached 1 yr TTC mark =( =(
August: taking a break from meds and the hit to the wallet they cause. =( =( =(
Will try injectibles again in '09 (if we need to fingers crossed =)

I DVRed the show but haven't watched it yet.

Just want to give piece of mind to those nervous after seeing this. When I started at the RE for DD my first cycle of clomid/injections/trigger/IUI was cancel right before I triggered because all my small little eggs decided to explode and become mature. The morning of my last u/s I had 11 viable eggs!!!! If the IUI would have been done, I could have very easily ended up with a high number of multiples (DH and I joked I'd be having a litter).

Now when you go for that last u/s before you trigger they can see how many are mature (or right on the cusp) and can see if it's too high.
