So RE not exactly the scenario i was running through my head
(yesterday was day 37 and an entire month since the last clomid pill)

Gives DH a rundown of "infertility 101", then (i guess with the clomid cyst cycle) - did an U/S just to see where we're at. Big "great looking" follicle, great lining so great time to trigger O'ing (i guess clomid does what it wants when it wants)

But with what he saw pretty much we have a small small window and CM is "hostile" (i'm sorry, that's one of the more amusing terms i hear)

So b/w comes back this morning and if estrogen is high enough trigger shot sometime today and an IUI wed / thursday

Craziness!! DH was a bit confused as in "not what i was expecting" which i agree but oh well

Actually, think it all sounds good! I didn't O until CD 25 on Clomid my first cycle, so it can happen! Hostile CM is not an unusual s/e of Clomid (and it always makes me laugh - DH said it would figure that I'd be hostile to him). Did he run a post-coital test to confirm hostile CM?

I think it is good that at least Clomid got you O'ing this time, and the IUI will bypass any hostile CM. What is the RE recommending next? Is he going to try different medications (femara, or injections, or combo clomid + injections?) next cy (if there is one)? I'm so glad this guy is moving quickly - mine wanted a lot of testing before he was willing to move forward and take action, so I think proactive is good!

Well they called back and said they'd go ahead (estrogen was 190 - they want it to be 200-250 but he seemed pleased at least with 190)

And so we have to do the trigger at work somehow (oh this could be fun) and do IUI 24 hours later (lunchtime tomorrow)

He looked at CM yesterday and with whatever levels said normally you could take something for that / run HSG but just no time if the IUI is to be time right (????)
Next cycle depending might try higher clomid if no cysts / or femara -and he would address the "hostile" CM beforehand ( i know, it's the funniest term by far)
