Icon9 not so good....injectibles?

so they did a day 21 progesterone check today....1.0. so the 100mg of clomid doesn't seem to be working. i talked to the nurse, we are going to go in for our f/u appt on June 3rd. i think DH is going to get a sperm check before that. then i guess we are going to talk about injectibles. which, i guess are about $1000 per cycle. here's the good news, our insurance covers 50% of infertility treatment AND i was optimistic and put way to much mula in our flex spending account (thought we might be paying for a birth) so i think we have enough for about 3 cycles this year if we need it. so, not a great day but i guess there are a couple good things to look forward to. the nurse said she's never seen injectibles not work to make someone ovulate so hopefully it will only take 1, maybe 2 cycles. anyone that has used injectibles, i might be asking for advice in the future.

I'm sorry the Clomid didn't do the job, but LOTS of women who don't respond to Clomid do really well with injectibles. Clomid really slowed me down, and I had a GREAT response to injectibles. They aren't fun, but they really work.

Sorry to hear the Clomid didn't work. But I'm sure it helps to have a plan in place, and that's awesome that the insurance will help with cost and you already have some saved back!

I was on 50, 100 and 150 of Clomid and my progresterone never got above 1.5 so we moved to injectibles with IUI (my RE thinks if you are going through the hassel of injections you might as well stack the deck and do everything possible to get that BFP). The first time worked great. Hopefully you have the same experience.
