Icon5 Need your opinion- sound like early m/c, ectopic, or normal pregnancy?

Well, I quit TTC and BAM! I end up in the hospital last Friday, and I'm told I'm pregnant. About two weeks prior, I had very heavy bleeding for four days. While the heaviness concerned me, I assumed it was due to my body still trying to adjust to not being on BC pills anymore. Thursday, I started feeling sharp pain on the right side of my abdomen. By Friday, I was bleeding again and in extreme pain. I was told at the ER that I was pregnant, but it was too early to tell if it was a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, or a "normal" pregnancy. My hcg level was at 131. When I went back on Sunday to get my level checked again, it had only risen to 132. At that point, the doctor suggested that it might be a chemical pregnancy, but it was still too early to tell and I still may have a "normal" pregnancy. I was asked to come back in this Friday for more blood work. I've been bleeding since last Friday, but yesterday it lightened up considerably. I thought that surely by today it would stop. But now it's as heavy as it was two and a half weeks ago. I thought I might be having a miscarriage, but now I'm not so sure. I took another test, and it was a BFP. I don't want to go back to the hospital until Friday if I can stand it, but I'm also getting concerned. What does it sound like to you?
