So this has been the weirdest AF ever. I normally have a really short AF 3, maybe 4 days max. This time I am on the 8th day and still spotting pretty heavily. I didn't POAS at all this cycle so I don't know what happened.

Do you all think it is normal to have a really long AF every once in a while or could it be a chemical pregnancy or something?

Any thoughts will help!

I don't think a slightly long AF once in a while is bad - perhaps with the surgery and the estrogen (which might have built up your lining a bit more than usual) this is strange. You are still under 1 week of regular bleeding, so a few more days of spotting isn't unusual. are you done with the estrogen cream now? The heavier cy might have been from the Fertility Blend, too (more lining or something).

Tkeys - I'm done with the estrogen now. I just thought this was weird since I am normally always a 3-4 day girl. I haven't ever continued through the 8th day of my cycle. It is driving me nuts. I just want to be done already.

I'd say the surgery probably had something to do with it. Ask the doc. Or, wait and see what next month is like (hopefully there won't be one at all) and take it from there.

Amy, I am the same with you, I usually only go for about 3 days max.. but when i had my Chemical, i think it was like 8-9 days straight and much heavier than normal.. I would ask your Dr...

Could have been a chemical if there were quite a few clots. I think Tkeys may be on to something with the Fertility Blend. Is this the first month you've been on it?

Yeah it was my first month on Fertility Blend. I didn't think that might be a culprit.

since i'm irregular i don't have any input but my first cycle on the provera was 9 days of heavy bleeding, i hope it stops for you soon.

cycle 3 - August - provera,150mg clomid (5-9) at least one cup of Green Tea every day.

I am so irregular! When I do get mine..sometimes it is for 3 days, other times a month!! I just hope she finishes her nastiness for you soon so you can get on to enjoy this cycle!!

I agree with T, with the surgery and other meds that you have been on this month, it might be throwing your cycle off a bit. It also depends on the color of the spotting, I have had spotting up to a week after AF, but it was the dark brown blood, and my doctor said it was mothing to worry about for me.

And for the record, I'm jealous! A 3-4 day AF cy......I never get away with any less than 5d LOL

I agree with Tkeys and Pbonns, I think it may be a combination of your surgery....but I also think it may be the Fertility Blend...all combined together may have made your cycle go screwy! Hope she ends soon for you!!!! Best wishes for a bfp this month!!

I sometimes have months that are killers-very heavy, bad cramps, etc. It seems like they are few and far between...but man do they stop me in my tracks. I hope this is just a one-time deal for you and you get back to normal soon.

Ugh - eight days is a long time! I don't have any idea what would cause it, although it sounds like you've gotten some good input. Just wanted to say that I hope it ends soon - that's just way too long!

Well at least good timing w/ your appt tomorrow you can bring it up - what a pain ........ all i noticed is i may go a day or two longer on a "real" cycle vs. BCP cycle but nothing over 6 days
