So yesterday I said I felt like something was going on inside... well its called pre-AF cramps. DUH. The doctors (the GYN) said my LP is fine because it is 12-13 days but if my temps are dropping around cd 10-11 then do we ever really have a chance with that?

I guess it doesn't matter. I don't think we are going to have much of a chance unitl they figure out what is up with my insulin levels anyway. DH works with someone who's wife is diabetic and it took them 5 years to get pregnant. And we don't know if DH checks out okay since male factor infertility runs on his side.

Oh well. This next cycle I'm not going to use Fertility Blend since we are going to be so busy anyway and I want to see without it now when I O. I want to see if my hormones will stay in balance or what.

I told DH when I woke up I felt like AF was coming. And he responded, no suprise there. I think it hurts more that he isn't excited about it anymore than it does to every month see my temps plummet. While his optimism annoyed me in the beginning it was what kept me going every month.

It does matter and I'm so sorry you are going through this. Keep your chin up - and hopefully stopping the Fertility Blend will bring your insulin back to normal. It sounds like this is bothering DH too, he just isn't admitting it to you. By saying, no surprise there, sounds like maybe he's disappointed too I hope you get some answers at your RE consult. Keep us posted.

Kerry - try not to worry so much! My LP is 13 days . . . I've heard that anything over 10 is fine - the key is for your progesterone to not drop so low that AF comes before implantation and hcg production can happen. Once implantation happens, the embryo starts producing hcg, which causes the corpus luteum to grow and start producing more progesterone. So . . . the key is to have a long enough LP that it allows for implantation, and 12-13 is more than enough. Your temp dropping at 10/11 means that your progesterone production is starting to decline because it hasn't received the hcg signal. I think when you are pregnant, your temp just won't drop, or it will drop one day and rebound up.

It is more important to know whether your progesterone is good at the 7DPO mark - if it is high there, it means you are producing an adequate sized follicle, so likely a mature, good egg.

I'm sorry that your DH is being negative - it is hard. And just keep in mind that you DON'T know yet what the problem is - even if you have PCOS, it might not be the cause/problem. You COULD be dealing with MFI, and you won't know for sure until he gets tested. Remember - I thought it was me when we weren't getting pregnant. We tested DH as a precaution . . . and it turned out it was him and that I was actually doing pretty well. We went the more aggressive route with medicine to improve my ovulation because it wasn't good every month, and to give DH's swimmers more targets. So, what I'm saying is it is good you are going to the doctor, but try not to sit there blaming yourself and thinking the worst - it takes 2 to make a baby, and there could be problems on one side, the other, or both, and you won't know until you have the opportunity to test and find out. AND if you are insulin resistant (high insulin) that is fairly easy to get under control with medication and diet, so I think that will be an "easy" fix.

Keep strong, focus on your diet and your endocrinology appointment. How does the Fertility Clinic appt work? Do you need to wait for them to call you, or do you need to keep calling and pestering?

TKeys - I just wait for Fertility to call me with an appointment. The GYN said if they haven't called after 3 months that I should get ahold of her so she can see if I slipped through the cracks. It's been 1 month so I have a wait still.

I've just been having a lot of anxiety lately. I know moving on to base will help with that some. DH wants me to go to the Doctor about depression but it's just another thing/ another trip to the doctor lately. It is just getting to be a lot, all this up and down, getting excited and then letdown.

I don't think he was trying to be so negative. I just know he is 100% ready for kids now. A year ago when we first started I don't think he was completely ready. I think he just gets as disappointed as I do about it now. I think its just easier for him not to talk about it.

Amy - I'm sorry your temp dropped too. It is heartbreaking.

Well, take care of yourself. I hope that moving onto base will help. And if you can find a way to pester the clinic, I firmly believe the "squeaky wheel" gets all the oil. I think often DH's don't realize that their reactions are not helpful. My DH doesn't seem bothered when things don't work, and it frustrates me not to see him upset. He doesn't really get that.

My intuition sucks too. I always think things are different. I never realized that my monthly cycle could be so different every month and still end up with . It blows my mind.
