I'm currently on CD18 and I am almost postive I O'd either Friday or Saturday. I had a + OPK on Friday night. I also felt the slight O pains and had EWCM. DH and I DTD on Thursday night and Saturday morning. We were not able to DTD on Friday
Do I still have a good chance of conceiving in this cycle? I was on BC until April 22nd.. AF came on April 24th - 29th and I should be starting again sometime around the 24th of this month.

Kayla, it sounds to me like you DTD when it was necessary if you had a +OPK on Friday. Now all you can really do is wait. We all know how hard that is! =)
Whew! I thought I might have missed our chance! I've used several OPK's this month and all the lines were either absent or very, very faint. The OPK on Friday was the darkest it has ever been, same as the ref. line. Like I said, I also had the EWCM and I felt slight twinges on Friday - like a sharp pain that lasted for a minute or so..
DH and I have 2 daughters and we conceived both of them on our first cycle of trying, as well as a little bean I ended up miscarrying in '05.
So am I considered to be in the 2WW? Should I test on the 24th(ish)? Since that is when AF should rear her ugly head. I'm 2 DPO right now. That will put me at 15 DPO.
I'm getting excited now!!

I would say if you O'd Friday night, then if you had sex Thursday night or Saturay morning you should be good. But I don't think you O'd Friday night, just after the +opk. I would assume you O'd on Saturday which means if you BD on Saturday then you could have caught the eggie. Remember- the egg is still viable 12-24 hours after you ovulate.

Well, it also depends on how long you took BCP for. They say it's very hard to get the egg on the first cycle, and that on the 2nd cycle it's the best time. But if you took BCP for only a while then that 1st cycle and 2nd will be your most fertile.
As for bding on those days, I think it was perfect planning. Too much bding will lessen DH count and lessen your chances of catching the egg. So skipping a day, in my opinion, was the right thing to do!

I had an IUD for over a year and was on BCP for 6 months before I quit on the 22nd.
I keep having that nagging feeling that AF is about to start. My stomach is a little crampy like it gets right before I start bleeding. I still have my fingers crossed but if AF does show up, there's always next month and I'll be a bit more experienced at using OPK's FF had it down to the day this cycle so as long as AF starts close to the same time this month, I'll make better use of my OPK's in June.

I'd say take an HPT on the day of expected AF! So, if it is supposed to be here and the 24th and you can hold out that long, then that would be a great day! I have a problem and I POAS waaaayyyyyy to early. BFN everytime! HA! =)
lol, me too! I usually get an early prediction test and take it 2-3 days before AF arrives. I hate taking them too early, just to get disappointed by the BFN.

Well, maybe this month will be your month. Try to wait if you can. I haven't O'd yet, but when I do, I'm going to see if I can hold out until AF is to arrive! (yeah right!!!!)
