Just wondered how you were doing . . . I don't think I've seen any posts from you in a few days. Hope you are feeling better.

Hey girls, thanks so much for continuing to think of me. I am on this board every day, reading everyone's updates and sagas, and post a little every now and then but just haven't been feeling overly chatty I guess. I feel like I'm getting a little more back to normal on that one though. I also just found out that my dad has cancer and has at most a couple of months to live, based on my mom's reports I don't even think it will be that long so I've been dealing with that shock too. He and I are not close so I am not devastated for myself, but I am very sad for him and it's impossibly hard to watch someone go through something that will surely be horrible. We will be going home in the next couple of weeks to see him one last time, and probably won't be able to make two trips this close together so I will likely miss his funeral, but to me it is just much more important to grant him his wish of seeing all of his children before he dies. I think I've been in shock over this, it was so sudden and unexpected, and I've been crying out of nowhere and this has made it hard to be involved in a lot of posting, but I think I'm getting over the shock of it and accepting it.

I was going to make a post about it here so you would understand my continued silence, but I just feel like all I have lately is depressing news and I don't want to get anyone down.

On the m/c front, things are progressing and it's like I'm having a regular AF right now, with a little extra crampiness and clottiness. I don't expect it to get unbearable, although I know that it could get much worse, but I think I will be ok and am just hoping this will take care of it. I'm going to get b/w today to see how my HCG levels are. I peed on a stick, hoping for only one line but I guess that was a bit optimistic since I don't think I've passed the POC yet, but the test line was not very dark so that's good I guess. I will be interested to see what my levels are.

Thanks for being here girls, I know I've been quieter lately but I am still here and reading and I don't know what I would do without this board.

Mary Beth - I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Cancer is ugly and no one should have to go through it. I have watched many of my family members go through it including my dh's mom who passed away last summer. I hope that your dad is not in too much pain. I will say a prayer for a family.

Mary Beth, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. You've had more than your share of heartache lately... my heart goes out to you and your family. I'm sure you're relieved that your body is taking care of things on its own. Hopefully, things get easier.

On a different note... has your doctor talked about beginning any tests or is he waiting until your hcg is down?

You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Oh, Mary Beth

You've been going through so much . . . I can certainly understand your silence. We are here, and if you need to talk or vent, by all means go right ahead - that is what we are here for. This is such a difficult time for you - you are so strong! I'm amazed at how well you are handling all of this. I think that going to visit your dad and grant his wish is amazing.

I hope you get some happy news soon after all this bad news.

MB I'm so sorry things are so difficult right now, as if you didn't already have enough sadness in your life. I'm sorry about your dad and I do hope that your numbers are going down. I'm thinking of you still.

Thank you girls for caring and keeping us in your prayers. I hope that we will have some good news in the not too distant future, although we will probably wait a few cycles before TTC again.
