I truly hope you guys don't mind me posting my ? here as I am not an active poster (however, I do lurk everyday and pray for you all to get BFP's) Also your group is always so helpful!!!!

Anyways, I did an OPK on late thursday morning 5/22 and it was very neg. Could barely see a line at all. So then I did another the next am about 10:30 and it was pretty close to + Then I did another one that night and it was neg.

I guess I am surprised about the short time b/c last month I got a + early evening and then the next day or maybe even 2 I got pos where the test line was darker than the control line so I was expecting that I would have the same thing.

My ?'s are 1) does that mean I may not have a good ovulation if at all this month and 2) we BD last night but I wonder if I was too late.

Secondly... I would also assume that you just missed your truly + OPK, you probably would have gotten it sometime later that second day.

I have a short surge and when I do OPKs I take them 3 times a day starting on CD10, then I take one everytime I pee once I see a line! It is really the only way for me to catch it!

I have no issues with fertility and I always have a short surge. I have good ovulations and good temp rises, etc. So I don't think a short surge means anything.

And if you the the night after you got the *almost* positive OPK then you still may be fine. A + OPK doesn't mean you are ovulating that very moment, it means you will ovulate usually within 12-48 hours or something like that. So your timing might just have been perfect!

So on Friday at 10:30am you got an *almost* positive OPK, then you BD that night???

If that is the case I think your timing is GREAT, but remember... KEEP ON

I would say keep BD for at least the next 3 days.

I'd say your surge was between Thur and Friday morning. I too only catch mine once and that's if I'm lucky! You generally O 12-48 hours after the surge (everyone is different) so you should be fine/great with your BD timing as Mandy said. Also, take her advice and BD tonight and tomorrow night too. =) GOOD LUCK!

First I wanted to welcome you! Second, one of two things is happening - either you missed your surge (it can happen) or it is *possible* your OPK was just being weird and you haven't surged yet. Prior to O, I can have a bunch of almost +OPKs one day, and then totally obviously negative the next day. What cycle day are you now? Do you have regular cys? I'd say keep bd'ing just in case, but if you did O, your timing should be just fine!
