I've got a little Announcement to Make.....

Well, not really, but it made you look anyway, didn't it?!?!? So now that I have your attention, my question is how do you plan to share the news with your family & friends when you FINALLY get that BFP you've been waiting for?????

I'm torn between:

Taking the family out to a fancy-pants asian restaurant and secretly giving the waitress my 'specially made' fortune cookies that each have a word (or phrase) on the fortunes. When put all together, it will read something like "Congrats Mimi & Papa, Piper is going to be a big sister"

Or.... making my daughter a shirt that says "Big Sister" and see how long it takes the family to notice it!

Or.... having everyone over to the house and have little candy dishes placed throughout with those personalized pink & blue M&Ms that say "Is it a Boy?" & "Is it a Girl?" I wonder how many would have to get eaten before someone took the time to read it! LOL

Hmm good ?.......

Since a lot of people around us know we're trying / having issues it might not be a huge shock (well i could be wrong) - i plan on waiting awhile just to make sure its a real deal (my friend keeps m/c - makes me worry)

The restaurant idea is cute..... depending when i know i could plan it around a birthday or such (like my mom's is in a month and a half so if we knew by then we could do a grandma shirt or something)

Ha! Made me look! Well, I don't know how we are going to do it next time. The first time we took my folks out to breakfast like we do every once in awhile and I had the manager bring out two big cookies with Nana and GPR (Grandpa Ron) to the table after we had brunch. They both started crying because they knew we had been trying for along time. Then the second time we didn't tell anyone and told them after a doc's appt when he put me on bedrest. We just called them on the phone and she was like I was having dreams you were pregnant...I just knew it. I would like to do another fun way, but I don't know what yet. It gets kinda obvious with my doc appts because we go so often in the first trimester. I will probably tell them right away. My DH folks we just call. Nothing exciting there.

It's funny you mention that because I already have some fortune cookies made up that say Congratulations DH you're going to be a Daddy! So as soon as I get the word, I'm taking him to our favorite Japanese Steak House!

I don't know how we'll do it...we aren't so sure everyone will be as happy and excited as we will be...since we already have 4 children..so I will probably wait until after my first trimester before I really spread the news...but I am trying to think of a neat way to tell my hubby when it happens! So I look forward to the answers in this post!!

Miss Tricky Trickerson!!

All those ideas are so cute! Everyone knows that we're trying thanks to my mom, God love her. So, I wanna wait until I have an u/s with a little sac to tell her and my dad. I scrapbook a lot, and I have one I'm working on of cute pics of me and dh throughout our courtship. So, I'm gonna make the last page be the announcement. I want to make my niece a shirt that says something like "I have a cousin on the way" or something along those lines to tell my in-laws.

I plan on telling DH by wrapping up the onesie I have that says "Born a Celtics Fan Just Like my Daddy" real tight so I can put it in a ring box. I'm gonna propose and ask him to be my baby's daddy. I know it's corny, but we're silly like that!
