It's the little things...
I'll take this as a happy sign (a very small one)...back when I was TTC my daughter (Fall 2005) getting the meds to inject was a nightmare. Even though everything was covered by insurance for some reason Cigna veto-ed the amount prescribed and it was a fight ensuring I had medication I needed (I would run out on day 6 or 9 and needed to go until at least day 12). It often ended with me crying on the phone until I got someone nice who would go above and beyond to help me.
Fast forward to this time around. Yesterday I got my box of meds and it had ALL the Bravelle I will need. My RE is using a new pharmacy and it is SOOO much better than Cigna Tel-Drug. Anyway I start pulling out all the different meds, the trigger shot (in its cooler) and then the needles, baby needles, alcohol wipes, sharps container...I started getting that UGH feeling of what I was really about to start again. Then at the bottom of the box (and the point of this rambling post) was a bag of Hershey Kisses with a ribbon on it that said Good Luck!
It was so nice to see. It really can be such a small thing that can brighten your day through all this craziness. Now I just need to wait for AF to start next week to get going with it!

Re: It's the little things...
Wow...that is such a nice gesture! Do you think it was the pharmacy or the doctor's office?
Good luck !

Re: It's the little things...
It had to be the pharmacy...unless my RE wrote a prescription for chocolate (which wouldn't be a bad thing).

Re: It's the little things...
It only takes a little bit to make or break a day. I'm glad this will give you a little lift while you start TTC!
Best of Luck!

That gave me a chill!!!!! Literally!!!! How thoughtful and what a wonderful little "extra".
It really takes so little make someone's day or to make a difference.
I have a friend who always stopped at McDonalds on her way to work. Well one morning she said she gets up there to pay and the guy says "It's already paid for" she was like "HUH?" and he said this lady up ahead a couple cars gave him her card and said "pay for the next 4 cars back too, and just tell them I said Have a good day" I thought that was so cool. My friend said it put her in the best mood. It probably cost that lady less than $20 to make a bunch of people have a happy day. Well worth it.
On a related note, 800petmeds always puts a little dog biscuit in the bottom of the box. Gero used to love it! He always shoved his head down in any box that came via UPS

Re: It's the little things...
That is amazing!! I know how stressful doing all the injectibles, and mentally gearing up for that can be . . . and when someone does something nice like that, it just makes the whole process easier.

Re: It's the little things...
That was a great gesture...how thoughtful and I am sure it made your day. Mandy, yours was a great story too...I got teary eyed reading it. It is amazing what the smallest gesture of kindness can do to someone. Today I was in the grocery store and there was only one cashier (hate this). I had a ton of stuff and this man comes up with one item, I told him to go in front of me since he had one thing, he said no but I insisted. Before he left he turned and thanked me again and said have a nice day. Loved it!!!
Denise...good luck with everything!!

Re: It's the little things...
aww... these are such touching stories.
Our minister told a good story this past week. He said he was in a MAJOR hurry at Wal-Mart. So fast that he just ran in and left his wife in the car. So as he's running out there's this man sitting on the bench and he made eye contact with him. So he said hello and the man just seemed so down. Even though he was in a huge rush he sat down and asked him if everything was ok. He told our minister that he was just hungry. He'd just gone across the parking lot to a fast food place and asked if they had anything they could give him and they said no. So our minister said "well I'm in a hurry, so can you run back over there with me really quick?" so the man said yes, they walked back to the fast food place and the minister gave him all of the cash he had in his pocket (about $14), he said "I have to run, but here take this". He said the man looked so shocked as he took it and after the minister turned to leave the man said "Are you a Christian?"
I think it's little moments like this that mean so much more than we can every know.

How sweet was that? Really, it is the little things that count and help us to move forward each day. That pharmacy deserves some extra credit!!!

Wow Mandy! That made me cry. It really makes me want to give more to this world. People can change the lives of others so easily, with the smallest gestures! Thanks for that story.

Re: It's the little things...
OMG Great stories!!! I ready at Flylady.net (free wonderful website FYI) one day about 2 hrs this went on at a drive up Starbucks that the person in front bought the coffee/order for the person behind them...giving is contagious....and it is well worth it...Jenny, I always let people with 1 or 2 items in front of me...and it makes me feel so good. Somedays, I wish people would do that for me LOL...maybe someday, but that is not what it is about....it SO is the little things in life, right girls???
