Hi Ladies,

I'm not sure if you have read the Instead Cups thread, but since the rate of success seems to be phenomenal (even first hand accounts from this forum) we have decided that if there IS a next cycle for us, we are going to try the Instead Cups.

If you want to know how they work, you can read the thread or Google the crap out of them like I do. I think what some of us are going to try is use them after BD at night and then take them out in the morning so we don't have to sleep in goo (TMI). But it will be a nice control for the study for those of you who use them after BD and then insert one and go about your daily business too! (as some say they do)

These cups can be found at WalMart or online for less than $5.00. The "poor man's IUI" seems to be catching on!

Please post here if you vow to use them next cycle (if there is one). Think of the study we could make out of this! Another forum did this (I found it online). There were 12 girls and 5 of them got pregnant!!

Amy, I am having some but my sxs last month resembled so much that I can't tell, really. I am gassy but not AS gassy. My bbs aren't hurting really which concerns me. At the same time, I can't tell whether some of those sxs were sxs of m/c too, so I don't know what to expect for "healthy" pg sxs.

Wow, lots of acronyms in there. My temps are looking pretty good though. Higher than last month. Normally by 10dpo they are already falling down, except for last month's pg chart.

I am no expert, but when I saw that I got a with such low temperatures, I was concerned. Hopefully my temps will stay much higher this time.

Any pictures that you have, upload them to Photobucket or any free hosting site. Go over to the graphic central board and request a custom signature. Pamela does a great job so maybe ask her to do it. You will upload your picture and tell her your favorite colors and a few things about yourself and she will make one. Then you just have to input that into your signature. Good luck!

Wow...I just might have to jump in on that..next cycle..like you said, if there is another cycle!! I am hoping we did what we needed to for this one..but even so, I find this interesting, and I can't wait for the results!!

I want to do this, but I think I'm going to go do some reading first. After reading the other post about how to get them in and out, I'm a little scared. I am not good with thinking things are stuck up there! I had a friend go to the hospital when we were young because the tampon string came out and it was lodged up there. I'd be sooooo embarrassed to have to do something like that. Maybe I'll get some and try getting them in and out first and then do a test run before I O which should be next week/weekend sometime. I'll KUP on being game or not before then. =)

KellyRae, I just sent you an email back. Did you get it? As far as info just whatever you want people to know about you like....your name, dh name, ttc, any furbabies, how long you've been married, & things like that. Like I said in the email the more specific you are the more likely you'll get what you are looking for.

If I were going to be trying that hard, I would try it. I am pretty comfortable with sticking stuff up in there Since I have done a million and a half cervical checks, I know that it would be highly unlikely for something to actually get stuck where I couldn't get it out. It's funny, when I was young I used to think that your "special place" was a hole that just sort of went all the way up inside and opened into this huge cavern inside of you, and if you pushed something far enough (like a tampon) it would go way up in your belly and get lost

Im going to pick up these things you guys are talking about tonight and see how they do.. Im doing an IUI next cycle too, but will be BD before, during and after!! so maybe it will help.. i have a tilted uterus so maybe this will help.. wow.. if someone would place us girls doing these things on funny home video's, we would all make millions!!!

Katrina, I just googled it too you are right the success rates are so great! There is even an article on CNN about it. I am soooo excited to try this! Oh wow I could end up with 2 babies next year! Does anyone want to send me an email about where to buy these? I'm going to have to buy them online.

I was reading about another woman uses them & says she has a tilted cervix & uterus. She said she can only pg by being on top. Now this is tmi but when I got pg I was on top & since we have been ttc dh is always on top....maybe this is also part of our problem. I have had tons of pelvic exams wouldn't a Dr have told me that by now if I had anything tilted? Anyway, I am so excited to try this! Thanks soooo much Katrina!
