Injection done!

Did my first injection of gonal-f tonight! 75iu tonight, tomorrow, thursday, and friday. Then u/s and bloodwork on Saturday. I was supposed to take the shot between 5 and 11 pm, and of course this is the first night in months I worked until 11:30 (usually I just work until 5-6 pm). So I took it around midnight. Hope that's ok. I'll probably move it forward an hour each night until i'm at ~7pm.

For those of you curious, I have the gonal-f pen and the needle was so small I seriously didn't feel it. If you've sewn and stuck yourself with one of those needles, this one was much smaller! I kinda dug my nail into my skin when I was pinching it to spread out the sensation and I didn't even feel it! I thought a tiny bit came out, but most of it stayed in and I'm sure that's normal.

I keep sitting here thinking I should be feeling something, even though I only did it 20 minutes ago...

- i didn't feel a thing (but still a pansy and made DH do it- he finds it entertaining) although both times I had a few sharp cramps w/in the hour

i know they told me to try and keep it about the same time every night but didn't have to be very exact so you could mess with it a bit / try to move it up

I didn't think the injectables were horrible. The side effects are much better than Clomid too. I hope everything runs smooth this cycle and you girls get your BFP!

Glad it went well. I hyped myself up the first time I did them and it turned out to be nothing. Now I'm a pro (and will hopefully be starting again this weekend if AF finally gets here!)!

I never had any side effects after giving the shot - just a small bruise once or twice (and I think that was from me holding the needle on a bit of an angle).

Congratulations, Lisa!! I always took mine b/w 10 and 12 b/c I'm a night person, so I think it is fine as long as you take it within the same 1 hr range every night!

As for the leaking - that is normal. If you can hold it in for about 5 secs after you inject, less will leak out (sometimes none at all). I often forgot to do that b/c I was so anxious to get the needle back out again!!

Congratulations on joining the needle club! I'm sure this is going to make a BIG difference for you!

Tkeys - I left the needle in last night for 5 seconds. Tonight I left it in for 10 and nothing leaked out. Couldn't even see my injection site when I was done.

I'm so excited to see what my u/s says on Saturday! I'm hoping for 2-4 follicles.
