Had post op apt

I just had my post op apt for the septum resection surgery... the dr said I was all kinds of messed up - the septum went 2 inches past the cervix (might explain why I've never been able to figure out how to chart CP)...they cut that out... up through the cervix and about 1/2 way up the uterus but they had to stop because they couldn't see well enough or something (and also thought she could see a fibroid but because of all the swelling/blood/etc from the surgery she couldn't be sure, basically she wants me to heal and now since the one big chunk is out of the way they should be able to see better... so I have to go for an other saline ultrasound beginning of Jan (should have been end of Dec but they're closed between christmas and new years) ... bad news is this is 2 days AFTER DH arrives home for his HLTA (I think americans call it R&R) so we won't be able to BD until after the ultrasound which sucks since he'll have been away for so long by that point... The ultrasound should tell us if we're good to go to start trying... Even though there's still a chunk of septum in there she thinks it "may" still be ok to try... There's a follow up apt Jan 15th for ultrasound results... She said that if everything goes well at the ultrasound we'll be able to try an IUI in Feb... as a back up plan - they've booked the OR March 25 if they need to remove more (we'll just cancel that apt if everything looks good at the ultrasound)... the thought of having to do all this again is depressing...
