The IVF clinic we go to just called and said they now have the capability to do our fructose evaluation, apparently it's something you can't get done in many offices and ours just started doing it this month!

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For three months we've done NOTHING and I'm so ready to get back in the game!

The nurse was so great, she's the IVF coordinator. I also got some great news I wasn't expecting. She said that each cycle is about $10,000 which I knew but I DID NOT know that this clinic does not charge extra for ICSI. All of the others charge about $2000 extra!

So on April 28th at 12:30pm DH will do his final S/A and provide a urine sample. They will do a fructose evaluation on the semen, then exam the urine to check for retrograde ejaculation. THEN... just an hour an a half later we have our IVF consult. She'll have the test results from that day so we can really make some plans for the future.

Another GREAT piece of info is that although the S/A reported "No mature sperm" she said that when there is a count less than 5,000 they consider it "none" but DH actually had a few hundred, certainly not enough to conceive naturally or even do IUI but it means that he won't have to have the TESE procedure. He'll just have to give a semen sample on the day of my ER and they'll be able to get them there!

FINALLY SOME GOOD NEWS FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Molli-Did your doctor specifically say "there are ZERO"? We originally thought that DH also had NO sperm, we didn't find out until a few days later that they just found "too few to count".
