does being sick hurt my chances?

So I had the IUI on Friday and everything went great! Problem is I started getting a bad sore throat Friday afternoon and by Monday morning I was coughing up some blood (but this is just because my throat was so raw). I went to the doctor last night and it's not strep (yeah!) and he said I just have a lot of post-nasal drip. He put me on the Z-Pac antibiotic (5 days) and a cough syrup with codeine. He said both were fine if I was pregnant. I won't take the cough medicine (I'm not really coughing anyway) since it says it can make you dizzy and the progesterone is already doing that (don't need a double dose).

Is being sick/on antibiotics going to hurt my chances this cycle?

I don't think so.

We have had many girls on here think that their cycle was a bust for sure due to getting really sick but then end up getting their

It might Denise, especially if you haven't Od yet. My first cycle on Clomid got screwed up partially because I was on antibiotics for the severe strep that I had. The doctor thought it could have interfered with the timing of when I was suppose to O, even despite being on the Clomid. Just a thought... I don't know the process with an IUI, but if you've already O'd, I doubt it could affect it. Good luck!
