Butalbital and other migraine Rx

What do you take for your migraines? My Dr. Rx'd Butalbital (Tylenol, caffeine & codeine). I used to be on Midrin. I hear that both are class C. Anyone use anything or heard of anything to use while TTC or PG?
Katrina,
I get migraines infrequently, but when I do I use Maxalt. My dr. had prescribed something else, I can't remember the name, and I used it once. I didn't like what it did to me, making me feel very anxious and out of it. The maxalt has always worked, with no side effects.

I take fiorinal but was told NOT to take it while TTC or if pregnant. I think fiorinal is the same as yours, only aspirin based I believe. Is yours Fioricet?
It's not aspiring based, it's Tylenol based. It's Butalbital/APAP Basically, tylenol, codeine and caffeine. She said I could take it but keep in mind that's my entire caffeine intake for the day- especially when TTC.
I think you're right though. i have heard Fioricet is the aspirin version.

Fiorinal is the aspirin version. I have been given fioricet when I was pregnant to combat migraines, it's the tylenol version which is what I think you're on? Or similar anyways. I can't take my fiorinal because it has aspirin in it. They said fioricet is safer in the 2nd trimester, but definitely not the first.
Well, I was on Topamax (preventive medicine) and had to stop before ttc. I then also took relpax when migraines hit. I was told while ttc it was safe to take pre-o, but I didn't get anything to take if I had a migraine post-O. I started taking magnesium, and I definitely think it lessened my migraines (and is baby-safe). I was told if I have terrible migraines during pregnancy, there is 1 med that is more of a narcotic that is pregnancy safe (I think it is called fiorecet or something?) but my migraines seem to have disappeared with pregnancy (I was worried about that).
I think most of the ingredients you mentioned sound fairly safe to take during pregnancy. I'm on several class C drugs right now.

Maybe Butalbital is the generic name for the tylenol version? Hmmm.... I will have to ask about fioricet. I wonder what the difference is.
I hate that I took one last night but I couldn't help it. I was in so much pain.
