Ok, this is so frustrating Today my beta came in at 21, so tomorrow I'm off for more b/w and an ultrasound. They want to try and pinpoint the pregnancy if possible. They want to give me some medication that starts with an 'M' (I can't remember the name of it) to dissolve the pregnancy, I told them the only way I would take that is if the pregnancy is ectopic. If it's in my uterus then I will let nature take it's course, I will not abort the pregnancy unless it will harm me in some way. I cannot believe that this has gotten so complicated. I don't know what's worse, ttc and continuing to get or getting a knowing that the pregnancy isn't healthy but is still hanging on for some reason! I will update tomorrow after my 4th beta and ultrasound, hopefully they'll be able to find it.

Tia, how horrible that you don't know what is going on. I'll just say a prayer that it is a normal pregnancy and that everything is going to be okay in the end! I hope tomorrow gets you some answers!
The medicine is methotrexate. Wait and see what tomorrow brings. I'm guessing they may not be able to see anything tomorrow with such a low beta. I understand not wanting to terminate the pregnancy, and you should have a little more time to wait. But, some pregnancies don't easily m/c naturally even when they are not viable (like blighted ovum, missed m/c, molar pregnancy) and if you don't accept medical intervention it can be dangerous to you. I would guess you aren't quite there yet, but just follow your doctor's lead and trust your instincts.
Oh my! My friend's pregnancy numbers were up and down and they told her it was a partial molar pregnancy. She had to have a D&C to get all the bad tissue out. Good luck and I hope they figure out what is going on....maybe the baby is just a little late to the party and will start growing well now! Keep us posted.

Gosh-- im sorry.. I know exactly how you are feeling.. I had to do that same thing with my Beta numbers and go in for blood work every other day.. they wanted to give me the shot too, but i wouldnt allow it.. But i can tell you this.. they cant see anything as far as a U/S untill your beta numbers are above 1000.. and they cant see if its ectopic either ( this is what I was told by my Re) When i went in for my second U/S she told me that they MUST see a sack at 5 weeks 4 days.. and if they didnt, that meant that it was ectopic and they must give me the shot, if not-- it would hurt and cause more damage in the long run.. I hope all works out for the best for you..

Hopefully they'll be able to tell you something tomorrow so you can at least somewhat know what's going on. I'll be praying that everything goes the way it should. I defintely think you should hold your ground on the meds until they can tell you more about what's going on. You don't want to act too early. It might continue getting better and better from here. I hope it does!!!!

I agree with you, don't give up on this pregnancy just yet. Your little bean might surprise you and just end up being a slow riser. I will continue to pray for good news for you. Take care of yourself sweetie.

I am so sorry. This is so aggrivating!!!! I applaud you for wanting to be sure everything is covered before you take the medicine. I hope everything is okay and they find the pg so you can have some peace.
