Back from u/s (PG mentioned & pics!)
It went really well! I can't believe how big the baby has grown! The tech was so nice, and we got to see so much of the baby! I don't have the final results yet (they did a blood test, and I'm waiting for those results before they give me the odds) but the neck measurement was perfect, so everything looks good. Hb was 173, and the baby was moving around like crazy. He/she was kicking, and we got a great look at the knee/leg, and an elbow (which the baby liked to shove into the wall of my uterus!) He/she likes to touch his/her face with his/her hands! The tech was so wonderful, and even did a quick show of the 3D/4D u/s for us! That didn't look like much of anything yet, but it was cool to see. They had a huge LCD on the wall so we could watch, and it was just amazing. I can't believe how much the baby is growing! And I can't believe I have to wait 8 more weeks to see the baby again!! Oh, and my ovary was down to 5 cm, with no signs of inappropriate cysts (just a normal-sized CL). The tech took dozens of shots, but we only got 3 to bring home, so I'm posting all of them!!

What a beautiful site! I'm so happy for you. Isn't it weird to watch them moving around - and you can't feel it?
I'm thinking girl with that hearbeat!

What odds & what results? Have I missed something??? The pics look great and I'm glad everything went so well. It's a miracle, isn't it. I'm so happy that your first IVF took. My poor friend has had it done 4 times and nothing. It's heartbreaking to watch. Anyway...back to you!!
Are you getting excited now and shopping like a crazy person?!?? Hmmm, 173bpm, sounds like a girl to me. heehee We shall see! GL!

Re: Back from u/s (PG mentioned & pics!)
This was the NT (Nuchal Translucency) Scan, where they measure an area of the baby's neck/spine and they do a blood test. With that information, and other factors (such as your age, health history, etc), they give you the odds that the baby will be born with Down's Syndrome, I believe Trisomy 18, and spina bifida. Generally speaking, if the neck measures appropriately and you don't have whatever protein they look for in your blood, it is highly unlikely the baby will have one of these 3 problems (although the test is not 100% accurate). They give you odds based on the information - like 1 in 500,000 or 1 in 10. Obviously, the higher the 2nd number, the lower the chance of having a baby with a problem. If the results come back with a high risk, you can choose to do more definitive testing to prepare yourself for the baby's arrival, or you can just move forward without finding out.

Awwww, they didn't do that when I was PG with P. How old are you? I wonder if it's only done for us more mature women.
