B/W Question

So, we all know how long we have to wait to get answers from doctor's offices!

My OB gave me a standing order to get my b/w checked on CD 21 to see if I O'd. It happens that CD 21 falls on a Sunday this cycle and that place is not open. Will it make a difference if I go on Monday, a day later?

Call your doc and ask if you should go a day later or if Friday would be better (or Saturday if they are open). They'll be able to tell you. Same thing happened to me with my CD3 test and I found out I could go on day 2 as well! GOOD LUCK! Since it's to find out if you O'd, I'm sure a day later would be fine as they are probably testing progesterone! ....I think! Don't quote me! =)

Well with the p4 testing you want to go 7 days past O. I would wait to see if you can confirm O first then count 7 days after that. Then call you doc and get the appt rescheduled. If you can't confirm O by day 26 (that is the day you O'd last cycle) I would just get tested then. Hope this helps Jeanie!

It is my progesterone that is being checked. I will call and double check what the doc thinks. I'm hoping a day won't make a huge difference, but who knows in this crazy TTC game

It kind of depends . . . the CD 21 is what is standard for "7 DPO." If you haven't O'd yet, then I'd wait until 7 DPO, if you O early, you might want to try and go early, if you O right on cue on CD 14, then going on 8 DPO is fine, but I wouldn't push it much later than that - you'd be better off going a few days early (like 5 or 6 DPO).

They like to check progesterone at the "peak" post-O, which is supposed to happen around 7 DPO. Hope that makes sense!
