Retail giant Toys "R" Us Canada ordered an immediate stop to sales of Aqua Dots, a popular children's toy, yesterday after a similar product in Australia was found to release a hallucinogenic drug when swallowed, landing two children in hospital. The Australian version - called Bindeez - is coated with a chemical that releases gamma-hydroxy butyrate, also known as GHB or fantasy. At least two children suffered seizures when they swallowed toy beads that come with the product. Both have since recovered. Bindeez was named Australia's 2007 toy of the year.
