Okay...so I found out my ovaries were the size of golfballs so my Dr. said for me to take 2 - 3 mos of bc to shrink them. She had me take prometrium to trigger AF and said that I could start the bc the first day of AF...that I didn't have to wait until the bleeding stopped. Well I started AF March 26th and started taking bc the same day. By that Fri (March 30th) I thought AF was winding down because I went all day at work with only a pantiliner on and barely had any spotting. The next day though she was back full force to where I had to wear a tampon. It has now been 11days since I started and everyday I have either brownish spotting or red blood (sorry if TMI). I even still have some clots once in a while (sorry if TMI). My thought was that maybe taking bc pills during AF confused my body and threw my hormone levels off or something. What do you think? I just don't know if I should be concerned or not.
My guess is the prometrium is really cleaning you out. I know when they have had to give me provera to start it is always way heavy and clotty. BUT I would put in a quick call to the ob and she what they have to say!
