Default What are your thoughts?

I'm new here...just wondering if anyone has been in the same situation before.

My husband and I have become 'relaxed' about protection since getting married a year ago. We both want children and are flexible as to when it happens (hence the lack of protection). That being said, we're not focused on TTC in terms of charting or anything like that.

The first day of my last AF was Jan.14/07 so it's been 61 days with nothing. Took a home PT around day 42 and 46 (give or take). Both were BFNs. I feel great but bloated and very tired (sleeping 10hrs/night and still tired). The weird thing is that I have had dreams where I'm certain that I'm preggo, the most recent being me seeing a BFP test and waking up convinced that I was. Haven't retested since that.

Any thoughts?

I would retest.. It would be the easy thing to do. If its a bfn then I would go to see your ob. You really need to have af every three months so she may want to give you provera so that you will have a period. Good luck!

Retest. If not, then call.
Heres a couple questions...Have you been on any bcp and Have you normally had long cycles before.

Thanks for the quick responses.

To answer the questions...never been on any form of BC...cycle length varies b/w 28 and 40 days but avg is 35. Never longer than 40.

Retest. Then go in for a blood test. Then if it hasn't came by then, then ask/call your or an OB.

I would consider charting since your cycles varies. Itll make the picture brighter and clearer and know your body better. Amazing how much more you can learn, putting a damper on what you thought you know. You can always quit charting after you hit O, since you know Af would be coming in 2 weeks or so.

The girls are spot on with this one, re-test and if it is another I would call your OB/GYN pronto and get scheduled to come in. Your cycle has gone on far too long already and I surely would've called before I got to this point especially as my normal cycle is 28 days....at day 31 I'm flipping out.

If I were you, I'd get a blood test done....

Hi girls,

I took another hpt last night and it was clearly negative. I will call the doc this week and set up an appointment to see what's going on.

I know I've read that not eating properly can throw it off...I have been really busy the past month or two and maybe not eating enough/properly but not significantly depriving or anything and also sometimes just don't have the appetite. Have any of you had this happen? That you maybe don't eat as much/as properly and your cycles get thrown off for a month or two? Upon reading the articles, I assumed it would take a lot of depriving/malnutrition to make a woman miss a period. I'll be sure to mention this to the doc as well and see what they say.

Will keep you posted! Thanks for the responses!
