Icon10 Weekly TTC Thread - 2nd September

Hello again ladies, it is the beginning of yet another week.

I'm sure some of you may have Labor Day plans and may not be around but I wanted to get this up anyways. I know it's late and I do apologize, it's been one hell of a week and I am still coping with all that has gone on.

A quick summary from me: DH's grandmother passed away on Monday evening and I have been consoling him and spending a lot of time listening to him talk about the woman that she was. I knew her but unfortunately I did not meet her until after she had several strokes and barely knew who her own husband was. As DH is from England and his whole family resides there, we were unable to attend the funeral or make arrangements to get there on such short notice. On Tuesday the bad luck continued for us, DH was knocked off of his bike while he was on his way to work the driver, of course, did not stop to check on his condition but rather took off and left him there. Thankfully he was not hurt badly, just a sprained knee, but the bike took a little bit of a beating. Considering DH is an avid mountain biker we had to take it the shop that very day and have it repaired as he could not live going one minute with his bike being injured.

All is on the up now though I hope, DH and I are looking forward to our next u/s on Sept. 11th! We're hoping for some nice pictures of baby to send back home to DH's family to give them some good news!

Can't wait to hear every one else's updates!! Sorry the stats list did not get updated as promised, I hope what was explained here helps you to understand why that is. Thanks for your continued support ladies! Lots of love from me to all of you!! And of course some

Wow, Missy!!! I am so glad that your DH is okay! My DH road bikes and I am always so scared he is going to get hit on the road!!! What a blessing that he is okay. Sorry he lost his grandma, that is very hard.

I'm just waiting to go to the dr. I am hoping to get some answers and a game plan soon! I think I am *not* Oing this time, so they may need to give me provera or something to induce bleeding...sigh...at this point I am ready to do whatever it takes to get a baby belly!!!!

My cousin and his wife are spending the weekend with us, they have a little boy 4 mos. old, he is sooo cute!!! I just can't wait to be a mommy, and whenever I hold a little one I get the baby fever even more!

Missy-Oh my goodness, what a bad week you have had. I am so sorry for your and DH's loss and so glad that your DH wasn't hurt worse. That's awful! September 11th isn't too far away now, it will be so nice to see your little bean!

Kara-What a long cycle, I feel for you. I hope you get some answers from the doctor.

I am in the 2 week wait. My ticker says 20 DPO, I have just been too lazy to change it. I think I o'd on cd 28 so that puts me at 9 DPO right now. My boobs are really sore so that either means something or AF is on her way. I think I will test on Thursday. I can't believe I o'd on cd 14 last month and cd 28 this month, how weird!

Missy - what a terrible week! I'm so sorry that your DH lost his grandmother - that is never an easy thing to deal with, particularly so far away. I'm so glad that DH is doing well - I worry about that all the time as my DH bikes to work in rush hour traffic all the time, and sometimes late at night, too. Hope that u/s comes quickly for you!

Kara - I understand about the little baby in the house - I feel that way every time my beautiful niece comes to stay with me. I hope you get some answers at your dr's appt, and then have a quick journey to your BFP!

Emma-Louise - I hope your sore bbs = !

As for me . . . I just started taking Clomid, so I'm waiting to O. So far, so good. I hope this works for me! I have another dr's appt on Friday, so maybe I'll find out more information there.

Missy, I'm sorry about DH's grandmother and his accident. I'm glad to hear he's ok. Hopefully this week will go much better for you and your family.

If everything goes the way it should, I should be ovulating later on this week. Hopefully things will work out this week.

Have a great week everyone!!!!

Missy ~ What a week you've had!!! Hoping things get better for you from here on out

Kara ~ Parsley tea is a natural way to bring on your period, if you want to do that before your appt. for answers for you soon.

Jeanne ~ Here's hoping those sore BB are for a good reason

Cammie ~ Are you charting on FF? We all loooove to obsess over charts and stalk 'em

As for me, I just Oed on CD18, very late for me, I've been consistantly Oing on CD14. I'm chalking it up to the Vitex supplements, but who knows. Several of my friends got pg on the cycle where they Oed later than normal, so I've been I follow suit.

Who's testing next??

Hi everyone!

Missy, I'm so sorry about your crazy week. I am glad your DH wasn't hurt badly. And so sorry to hear about your loss.

Jess, hope you enjoyed your time off. How are you feeling in your first weeks of preg?

Kara, I can't wait to hear what your doctor has to say. I have a strong feeling that your appointment will be your first step toward that baby belly I hope it doesn't take too long. I know how you feel about holding a little one. We recently went to a birthday party and one of my husband's co-workers had their daughter there. She's 6 months old. DH was SO good with her! He was holding her and feeding her. It made me want one SO bad.

Jeanne, I'll be watching you and hope your symptoms are those of a

Tkeys, I hope the clomid works!!! Clomid helps you O right?

Cammie, Enjoy "trying" this week I hope you have great news soon I just noticed you are in Lexington. DH and I both work in Lex, but live in Richmond. Small world.

Krissy, thanks for being so much help to me this past week! Your messages really helped me. What is vitex?

And for me....

I don't really know what the heck is going on! Take a look at my chart and you'll know what I mean. I didn't take my temp this morning. I have come down with something. Maybe hay fever. I have a stuffy/runny nose, headache, sore throat. I have been taking medicine since Sunday morning. I think that is why my temp was so high yesterday. I have been having some creamy discharge since Saturday night. Do you think I just O'd? Or do you think the *light* bleeding/spotting I had last week was Who knows
I took another HPT this morning and it was a clear so I know I'm not preg. If I did just O I'm in trouble because I've been feeling bad and we haven't much. Just Saturday night. Oh well. I guess only time will tell.

Mandy, here's some info on Vitex: http://thefertilityshop.com/catalog/...products_id=73

I got mine locally at Vitamin world for about nine bucks. It says in the paragraph that it may take up to 6-12 weeks to see results, but it seemed to affect me immediately, making my temps higher and more consistant and also making my O date later than usual (over the past seven cycles it's always been CD14 or 15, so I'm attributing this to the Vitex).

And you are most welcome!! I've been using NFP as my method of birth control for the past six years and love to share the things I've learned, especially to help women conceive precious little blessings.

~Krissy, I've been looking at FF, but haven't charted anything on there yet. Still trying to figure the darn thing out. Besides, last time DH and I tried to conceive I obsessed and charted and it got me nowhere. I know it won't happen, but I'm going to try to relax a bit this time.

~Mandy, are you from Richmond originally? My husband grew up there and his family still lives down there on Lancaster Road. I actually taught school down there last year at the new elementary school, Marshall. Selling health insurance now. Definitely a small world.

I'm somewhere in my cycle not sure where/don't really care. I've been having headaches and dizzy spells since before my last AF and I'm still trying to get into the doctor. Mold count has been high so I think it's allergy related. Other than that I start a new job on Wednesday which is great!

My temp dropped below the coverline this morning I am a bit bummed about that. I've tested several times but all BFN's. It is still very early though. My LP is always 17 or 18 days so it is still too early for AF UNLESS taking clomid would cause my LP to be shorter. If my temp is still low tomorrow then I probably won't test. I have one "good" test left and 4 dollar tree ones.

Don't lose hope Stephany- It's still very early and I've seen with a lot of the preg ladies that they can have some crazy things happen with temps in their "lucky cycle". I would take the $ tree tests to your hearts content and save the good one for a couple days

Cammie-- How weird! No we aren't from Richmond. I just moved there last year. I am from north eastern KY and ended up in Lexington because I went to UK. DH is from WV but ended up in Lex for work. He bought our house in Richmond three months before we met I love it though.

~Mandy I'm orginally from northern KY as well. Came to Lexington to go to school at UK as well.

~Kerry, good luck on your new job. I know that will be totally exciting for you. I just switched careers after being a music teacher the past 6 years. I'm loving it!!

~Stephany, good luck with your HPT's. Hopefully one of them will show up BFP for you.

Hey girls! Cammie, I live in Lexington too! How funny!! What a small world...I grew up here, though, and haven't left!
Stephany--I saw you're back to CD 1...I'm so sorry!!!!! Hopefully this next cycle will be the one for you.
Mandy-I really hope this cycle will be it for you. I've been feeling bad, too! Gotta love Kentucky, right?
Kara-Glad you're going to the doctor--I'm sure it will be great to get some answers, finally! I'm praying for you.
Krissy--I'm praying for you, too, girl!!! I hope your temp stays up there.
Everyone else--wherever you are in your cycles, GOOD LUCK!
As for me I'm on CD 19 and don't know if I've O'd or not---please look at my chart--it looks crazy but I think part of it may be that it is a wal mart digital thermometer...if there IS a next cycle, I'm buying a good one. keep in mind I WAS sick and taking fever reducers there for awhile. We've bd-d a lot this cycle, I'm REALLY hoping this is the one.

So I was thinking I wouldn't ovulate until today, but yesterday....OMG...I have never had such a painful ovulation in all my life. I swear it was more painful than . Does anyone know if that could be a good sign? *hope, hope* I guess now I'm in my 2WW. I know that for sure if things don't take this month, I have got to start charting next month. *sigh* We'll just see how things go.
