Icon10 Weekly TTC Thread - 23rd September

Good day, ladies!!!

Hope that all is well with you and many many many updates to post!!!

Baby is still kicking away at me they feel like they get stronger every day! The results from my Quad Screen test came back negative, so that was a big sigh of relief for us! We found a pediatrician that we like and I went to a Prenatal Orientation at their office to meet with the doctors and to see the office, it was very nice and I hope that baby will like it as much as we do!!

That's it for me.....I can't wait to hear all of your updates as well!!!

Good to hear you found a pediatrician you like, that's very important.

I'm feeling more and more movement myself lately. I felt the baby roll while I was standing for the first time last night. Every other time Stretch has moved, has been while I was sitting or lying down.

I'm also not as nauseous as I used to be. Only when the baby wants to eat....which for the past few days has been all day long!

Hi everyone!

Missy- So glad you like the doctor's office. I am also glad you got good news on the test.

Jenny- Wow...I didn't know you could feel the baby so early...that is so exciting!!

As for me....Well my doctor doesn't believe that I ovulated in Sept. I didn't either. I O on CD 14 or 15. I spot checked my temp on CD 18 and 20 and it hadn't gone up. So I assumed I didn't. Well around CD22 I got my OPKs in the mail that I had ordered. Like a nut I took one. It had a line on it. It wasn't positive at all but the line was easily visible just not as dark as the control. I took on the next day...slightly lighter....the next day and it was gone.

So I guess maybe I did O. I don't know. DH was out of town and we were counting Sept out already and just waiting until Oct. to try the "Sperm meets the egg plan" so we didn't much. Only once around that time.

So I am now just waiting for AF. It should have been here Tuesday but I'm assuming if I did O late then AF will be late too. I'm going go give it a week or so and then I'm going in to see the doctor again. She said she'd give me med to help AF come back.

Can't wait to hear how everyone else is!

Missy - things sound like they are going well!

Jenny - glad you are feeling better.

Mandy - I'm sorry you are going through all this stuff - I know how frustrating crazy and unclear cys can be. Not that it matters, but you may not be able to tell anything from a light line on an OPK - we always have fluctuating levels of LH, so having a line one day, and lighter the next just means you had a lower level of LH . . . it doesn't necessarily mean it is because you are moving further away from O. You could test again the next day and it be darker again.

As for me . . . well, I'm not really sure what is going on with my cy. It was my first cy on Clomid, so I expected to O by CD 17 or 18. I got what I thought was a +OPK on CD 18, but then I never got a peak on my monitor or a thermal shift. Then, CD 24 and 25, I got a peak on my monitor. So, now I'm waiting to see a thermal shift to confirm whether I O'd today. Very bizarre. I'm supposed to talk to my RE tomorrow, and figure out what we do next. Next cy, I believe they will put me on 100 mg Clomid, and do a trigger shot (in case I'm not O'ing because I'm not surging right), and I'll be closely monitored via u/s so we'll know if the follicles are growing. I'm just quite frustrated, and hope I get some answers soon!

Missy and Jenny, how exciting to feel a little baby moving inside of you!!! It seems so surreal to me!

Mandy and Tkeys, I know what it is like to have a confusing cy! I hope and pray that both of you can get things figured out and your little ones will be on the way soon!

I took my last Provera Sun. morning, so now I am just waiting for AF. I hope she comes soon, but I am not feeling any sxs yet. It is strange to be hoping for AF, instead of no AF!!! But this is just one of those weird cys for me!

GL to all those TTC!!! And well wishes for all you pregos!

GL, Kara! I hope AF arrives quickly. When I took the progesterone last cy, I think AF arrived for me about 3 days after I stopped . . . started spotting, though, the day before AF arrived.

Mandy, I've actually been feeling movement for about 2 weeks steady now. Everything I've read and heard tells me my uterus should only be about the size of a large pear and just now rising above the pubic bone. But when I lie down to feel it, with an empty bladder, it's freeking enormous! The top is in line with the top of my hip bones!! I'm just now feeling it bubble out from the top of my pubic bone area, and my DH has felt movement in 2 places at once a few times.

I called the 3D/4D ultrasound place near me and for $125, I can have a 30 min session with no doctor referral needed. As soon as we have the money saved (probably in another week or so), I'm booking an appointment. I HAVE to know if there are 2 beans in there.

A few people have said because it's my 3rd baby that the uterus is stretchier. I would agree with this sentiment, except that it's been 11 years since the birth of my last baby. Even my old OB told me that after 5 years your insides go back to the way they were before you were ever pregnant and that the uterus is one of the strongest and most resilient muscles in the body. So in theory, it should be like I've never given birth before.

Oh and on the same note....when I was this far along with my son, I was bigger than I am now. I got pregnant with him when my DD was only 9 months old, so the whole stretchy uterus thing applied there. If it were true this time, wouldn't you think I'd be looking like 6+ months? When the kids get back from the park, I'll have my daughter take a picture of the bump so you can see what I mean.

Hey ladies!! It's really late and it's been a very long, draining day, so please understand if I don't personalize this post! I am very happy for those of you who are preggo, and I definitely sympathize with the crazy cycles!

As for me, tomorrow is 13 DPO and I'm going to test again then, if my temp is still up. I tested at 11 DPO in the afternoon with a dollar store test and got a BFN. So...I am cautiously hopeful. No signs of AF, but not a lot of symptoms either...have some "wetness" in my panties and don't know if that's a sign or not...

Good luck ladies!!!!

We are starting our 7th month TTC. We are again going with the no temping or opk's/fm approach again. Best of luck to everyone!

Missy - Glad to here baby is doing well!

Kara - Praying for AF! Hopefully it'll come soon.

Sarah - I had wet panties early in my pregnancy with Jackson. Best of luck testing!

Kerry - Good luck this next cycle. Hopefully this is it!

AF is here now, and for my first time ever, I will be taking my temps! All of my other pregnancies were not planned, so this is all new to me. It is worth it though.

My sis called today. Only 6 weeks till my nephew will be here! Crazy! I can't wait to see him.

The day you deliver, outside will be cloudy. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning .

After a labor lasting approximately 22 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and will be 21 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and a little patch of brown hair.

Kara - I usually get AF 4 days after my last provera pill, but I've heard it can be up to 10 days. I took my last pill on Saturday night (I find I can avoid a lot of the s/e by taking them at night) so I think my AF will arrive on Wed.

I'm off to drop of my script for Clomid for this next cycle!!! Just waiting for AF!

Also, I forgot to mention how wonderful it is that there is no private place to go to make phone calls in my building. Makes calling my gyn's office fun But it made me think that there is no place in my building to pump breastmilk, if I decide to do that. I found out there are lactation rooms in the building across the street although that would be kind of a pain.

Hope you all are doing well!

Oh I am sooo far behind!

Missy, you're halfway there! Congrats!

And Jenny!! Woohoo on being in to the second trimester! And the possibility of twins! How exciting!!

Oh Mandy, what a crazy cycle! How are you feeling now? Any symptoms? Do you already have an appointment set up with your doctor for next week?

TKeys~ It looks like you definitely had a thermal shift! Wow! Can't wait to see those big, beautiful crosshairs tomorrow!

Sarah~ That chart is lookin' mighty purty, try a more sensitive test on Thursday with FMU. for two bright lines!

Kerry~ Good luck with this cycle!

Michelle ~ Woohoo the countdown to your TTC date is coming quickly.

Lisa ~ Isn't it such a weird feeling to be *wanting* ? Hoping she comes soon so you can be on the the next (much more successful) cycle!

As for me, just waiting to O! I think it may have happened yesterday, but I'm not doing OPKs this cy, so I'm not sure. I'll know based on my temps over the next couple of days! I'm also temping vaginally this cy, and am much happier with my temps.

Okay, off to try to catch up everywhere else!!

Mandy, I finally got around to taking some new pictures of the bump. I labeled them for easy location of landmarks.

Hopefully, you can see what I mean, but the top of the bump is a wee bit higher than it should be.

WOW!!!
Ok, maybe I don't know a lot about this but I would have to agree with you!! It's been so long since your last preg. that I wouldn't think you'd have that big of a bump so early.

I find it hilarious because when I stand up, there's nothing there. I mean, there's a poof over my belly button, but it's NOT baby! LOL, well, whether it's one or more, it seems to be growing quite nicely.

Lisa, by law don't they *have* to offer you a place to BF/Pump? You might check into that in the future. Maybe they can set up a special cubical just for you!
